The first midasummer meet-
ing of the JEWISH- WOMEN'S
EUROPEAN WELFARE ORGAN-
IZATION will be held at 12 noon
Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the home
of Mrs. Harry Koblin of 13642
Roselawn. Plans will be formu-
lated for the group's annual
donor luncheon, scheduled, this
year, for December. Mrs. Lewis
Steinberg is chairman of the
donor, to be assisted by Mrs.
Anna Goldberg and Mrs. Joseph
Zuckerman. Mrs. Morris Fish-
man presented the group with
a hand-made afghan to help
raise funds for Israel.

IZFA Crosses Border
For Outing on Sunday

A Club Northwest Moonlight
is planned for Sunday evening,
Aug. 14, on the Put-in-Bay boat,
by the Young People's Club of
the Northwest Hebrew Congre-
gation.
All young people are invited.
Dancing will be featured aboard
ship. Those planning to attend
are required to be at the Put-

Masada Plans Outing
To Kensington Area

The second .Masada summer
party will be held in the Ken-
sington Metropolitan Area it
Kent Lake on Sunday, Aug. 14.
Bill Saulson, chairman of the
athletic committee, is in charge.
Plans include swimming and a
picnic, with each person supply-
ing his own food.
The group will meet at the
Shaarey Zedek parking lot at
12:30 p.m. Rides will be pro-
vided for those needing them.
There will be no charge for ad-
mission, but transportation costs
will be shared.

Israeli-Born Pianist
Wins French Award

PARIS, (JTA)—Mrs. Lola Gran-
tetman, an Israel-born musician,
received a prize granted annu-
ally to pianists by the French.
Government through the Con-
servatoire National de Musique.
She was chosen from among 47
others who came from various
countries to compete for the
award.
