DETROIT LADIES' AID SO-
CIETY will hold its indoor pic-
nic Sunday, June 12, at the
Assembly Hall. (The original
announcement and date on tick-
ets erroneously read Sunday,
June 16.) It will be a continu-
ous affair from 12 noon to mid-
night. Dinner will be served. All
proceeds will be used for aid to
Israel.

The closing meeting of the
season for the HOME RELIEF
SOCIETY was held at the home
of Mrs. Peter A. Miller on La
Salle Blvd. A resume of the case
work of the organization was
given by Mrs. Joseph Rotten-
berg, chairman. Mrs. Frank J.
Winton, ways and means chair-
man launched the fall donor
event, which will be held in the
form of a luncheon Wednesday,
Nov. 30, at the Book Cadillac
Hotel. Tickets are already in
the hands of many of the mem-
bers. The final board meeting
for the year will be held at 12:30
p. 1n. Monday, June 13, at the
home of Mrs. Al Weisman on
Oakman Blvd.

At 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jime
22, the WOMEN'S LEAGUE for
SABBATH OBSERVANCE will be
the guests of Mrs. Irving Zeff,
1846 Oakman Blvd., at a lunch-
eon and garden party celebrat-
ing the close of the season and
the organization's . eighth birth-
day. Mrs. Joshua Sperka, presi-
dent, will review the group's ac-
tivities. A program of readings
is planned.

elected by the ALPENA, MICH.,
SISTERHOOD : Mesdames I. Is.-
ackson, president; Phil Cohen,
vice president; Leo Freidberg,
treasurer; J. Nakall, secretary;
H. Pinsky, corresponding secre-
