MRS. HARRY J. IVERSON

Temple Sisterhoods, has served
as president of - the Illinois State
Federation of Temple Sister-
hoods, one of 22 State and dis-
trict units of NFTS, and is a
past president of the Women of
Mizpah Sisterhood of Chicago.
She has done outstanding work
for the Chicago Division of the
National Home for Jewish Chil-
dren. She is a member of the
executive board of Hadassah,
Chicago Women's Aid, Bnai
Brith Hematology Research
Foundation, and the Program
Service Committee of the Con-
ference of Jewish Women's or-
ganizations.
The Temple Beth Jacob Sis-
terhood is headed by Mrs. Mer-
man Dickstein, president; Mrs.
George Wyman, secretary; Mrs.
Isadore Goode, treasurer, and
Mrs. Meyer Fine, program chair-
man.

Irving Gilbert's orchestra will
provide the music and an Ar-
thur Murray dance instructor
will judge the prize waltz con-
test at the L. A. TELCOVE
"SUMMER toktOLIC" to be held
in the outdoOr court of the
Jewish Center, Sunday, June 12,
at 9 p. m. Abe Baber, master of
ceremonies, will move the dance
to Butzel Hall in case of incle-
ment weather.

dlelight ceremony May 28 at the
Hotel Fort Shelby, Hilda Elaine
Arkin, daughter of Mrs. Ida
Arkin and the late Sam Arkin,
and Elmer Raskin, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Emil Raskin, were
united in marriage. Rabbi Mor-
ris Adler and Cantor Jacob
Sonenklar , officiated.
Selma Arkin attended her
sister as maid-of-honor, and
Charlotte and Sylvia Arkin were
bridesmaids. Jerry Raskin was
his brother's best man and the
ushers included Jerry Krause of
Chicago, Larry Raskin of Toledo,
Ted Pines, Gil Golding, Sidney
Charness and Eugene Adelson.
Irwin Arkin gave his sister
in marriage.
The bride chose a gown of
candlelight satin and lace - for.
her wedding. Following the
wedding dinner, the couple left
for Florida and Havana, Cuba.
After July 1, they will be at
home at 13835 LaSalle Blvd.

The marriage of Sylvia Gittle-

day evening, June 5, at the May-
fair, with Dr. A. M. Hershman

sister's matron of honor and
Lynn Goldberg, Helaine Sobel
and Betty Lou Streen were jun-
ior bridesmaids, Edwaid Wol-
oveck served his brother as best
man.

LOUIS TAILORS

The bride wore a gown of rose
beige lace. The fitted bodice was
fashioned with a drop shoulder
and the full skirt was floor
length. A small hat of the same
lace with a shoulder length veil
of matching illusion completed
the costume. She carried a bible
with a white orchid.
After the wedding dinner the
young couple left, for Niagara
Falls and upon their return will
make their home in Toledo.
