Prominent in the collection
are Mr. Grossman's etchings of
Jewish leaders, such as Chaim
Nahman Bialik, Albert Einstein
and Chief Rabbi Herzog of
Israel; Jewish faces .in attitudes
of prayer and study, and scenes
of Jewish interest.
One of his best-known works
is "The Wailing Wall" which
was awarded the Pennell Prize
of the Library of Congress._
His son, Allan, at 15, is follow-
ing in his father's footsteps on
the road to artistic fame, al-
though his work, rather than
being drawn from life, is com-
pletely imaginative. He gave his
first one-man show in New York
before his 13th birthday and has
since had solo exhibits at the
National Academy of Art and
the Brooklyn library. -
His work, like his father's,
hangs in the print departments
of many American museums,
including the Boston Museum,
the Fogg Museum and the New
York Public Library. He has ex-
hibited with the Society of
American Etchers since he was
12, and anticipates being ac-
cepted soon as a full-fledged
member of this professional so-
ciety.

tion, National Council of Jew-
