Farband to Honor Aaron Agree
On May 7; Wilt be 70 on May 1

ish National Workers Alliance
(Farband) will honor a veteran
worker in its ranks, many local
organizations, congregrations and
labor Zionism—Aaron Agree--at
a celebration at the Labor Zion-
ist Institute on Saturday night,
May 7, on the occasion of his
70th birthday which occurs on
May 1.
Hyman Weiner, another vet-
eran Farband worker, heads the
committee in charge of arrange-
ments for the planned celebra-
tion in Mr. Agree's honor.
Born in 1879, in Nezhin, the
province of Chernigov, Russia,
Mr. Agree lived most of his early
life, before coming to this -coun-
try, in Paylograd, province of
Ekaterinoslav, now Dnieprope-
trovsk. In 1905 he traveled
through EuroPe for the Singer
Sewing Machine Co. and upon
coming to this country for ,a time
was associated with the - Singer
Co. in New Britain, Conn: •
He came to Stamford, Conn>,
in 1906, and six years later he
settled in Detroit. He has been a
resident of Detroit uninterrupt-
edly since 1912. In -Stamford he
joined the Order Sons Of' Zion,
and became affiliated -with. the
Farband upon coming Detroit,

Active for many years in Far-
band's Branch 13 and the Nation-
ale Radicale Shule of JNWA, he
later transferred membership to

ducted on Saturdays and Sun-
