Establish Council
Detroit's three chapters of the
Mizrachi Women's Organization
of America, and the two Junior
Mizrachi groups, have announced
plans for formation of a Detroit
Council of Mizrachi Women.

An open meeting and dessert
luncheon of the Detroit Consump-
tive Aid Society, an auxiliary of
the Jewish Consumptive Relief
Society of Denver, will be held at
the home of Mrs. Tony Partivich,
111 Meyers Rd., at 1 p.m. Wednes-
day, Jan. 26.
The auxiliary has been organ-
ized to aid the tubercular men
and women of this community
where it is necessary, and is reg-
istered with the Community
Chest.

The membership enrollment
committee of the United Hebrew
Schools has arranged for a num-
ber of parlor meetings to be held
in connection with this enroll-
ment effort.
, The next meeting will be Mon-
day evening, Jan. 31, at the home
of Samuel Schwartz, chairman of
the membership committee. A
special educational program has
been prepared, to be followed by
a social hour.
Mr. Schwartz stated that "the
membership has for its purpose
not only the income derived from
the membership dues, but also
its moral support which such a
membership lends to the schools.
These parlor meetings will be
continued for some time and will
be held in the homes of mem-
bers."
