from New York City, where she spent the last week. Her daughter,
Betty Loewenstein, who is at present residing in Boston, joined her

Sholem Aleichem Folk Institute

luncheon Dec. 8 at Masonic
Temple.

is scheduled for an address and
Cantor Pavel Slavensky, will
offer Jewish folk songs. Shirley
Soifer and a group of children
from the school. will participate.
Proceeds of this function.- will
go to maintain the school.
Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m., at the
Lee Plaza Hotel. She will be as-
sisted by Betty Utley, her co-
chairman, and Goldie A. Slakter,
chairman of the division.
The program for the afternoon,
which has been arranged by
Elaine Mevis, will feature as
principal speaker Mrs. Miriam
Granovsky of Palestine, and a
musical varieties revue high-
lighted by Drora Selesny, accom-
panied by Lillian Robbins.
