Temple Israel to Break Ground
For Building Sunday Afternoon

Temple Israel invites the Jew-
ish community to attend ground
breaking ceremonies for the Tem-
ple Israel building at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 17.
The half-hour ceremony will
be held at the Temple site, Man-
derson and Merton Rds. (Mander-
son is one block east of Hamilton,
and Merton is one block north of
Six Mile Rd.)
George Stutz, president of the
congregation, will preside and in-
troduce the guests of honor. Rab-
bi Leon Fram will deliver a brief

Seeks Members

With the slogan "Every Tem-
ple Woman a Sisterhood Mem-
ber," the Sisterhood of Temple
Israel is conducting an intensive
membership drive preceding its
first meeting in November. Mrs.
Sol Lunsky, vice president in
charge of membership, announces
that the drive will be culminated
with a membership luncheon
Nov. 5 at the home of Mrs. Louis
Millman.
Other Sisterhood programs well
under way for the season include

er; hospital visiting, Mrs. Albert
Yaco and sewing for the Red
Cross and Cancer Society, head-
ed by Mrs. Leo Rubenstein.
