Shaarey Zedek Women Hostesses
To Michigan Synagogue Affiliates
Following the pattern set by
the Central Branch of the Wo-
men's League of the United
Synagogue of America, Mrs. Na-
than Spevakow, vice-president of
the Michigan section, has issued
a call to the constituent Sister-
hoods in Michigan for an all-day
conference for Thursday, Oct. 21.
- The conference, following a
workshop pattern, will attempt
to find solutions for problems in
programming, fund-raising, mem-
bership, procedures and social
action. In addition to these
specialized and specific problems,
the conferees will consider the
place of the sisterhood in the
synagogue family, its responsi-
bilities to youth and interpreta-
tion of the sisterhood to the com-
munity at large. -

ship, Mr. and Mrs. Weinberg
have expressed the hope that
they will be able to make an
annual grant of $1200 so that
worthy students may continue to
receive such assistance.
