Mich.: Mr. and Mrs. Murray Belkin, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Levett and
Mr, and Mrs. Sam Jacob.
Dolores Groode, formerly of Detroit. now residing in Los Angeles,
Calif., is the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Rickman of Parkside
avenue.
Miss Shirley M. Schwartz of Monica Ave. was graduated from
University of Michigan June 12 and is now vacationing in Los An-
geles, Calif. She will also visit with her brother and sister, Dr. and
Mrs. Marvin Schwartz, in Portland, Oregon.
Mrs. A. Teicher and daughter, Rona Lee, of Prairie Ave. and
Miss Hannah Foreman of San Juan Drive rturned home after visit-
ing in New York.
Shirley Schreiber was given a sweet sixteen party on June 12,
by her parents. •
Mrs. A. Teicher of Prairie Ave. held open house June 18 to
honor her daughter, Rona Lee, who was graduated from Wayne
University on June 17.
Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Harrison have moved from Santa Barbara
to their new home at 19203 Monica.
Mrs. Arthur L. Robbins and daughter, Alice, are spending the
summer in Charlevoix. Martha Jane Robbins, who is attending
Merrill-Palmer Camp, will join her mother and sister at Charlevoix
at the end of the camp season.
Florence Wolff of San Antonio is the guest of her cousins, the
J. L. Levy's, and her aunt, Mrs. Hess, of 1917 Calvert.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Butzel of Burns Dr. have left for Charlevoix
where they will spend the summer months.
A farewell party for Mrs. Anna Lazaroff of 2256 Hazelwood, who
is leaving to make her home in Los Angeles. was given by the execu-
tive board of Club One of the Pioneer Women's Organization, at
the home of Mrs. Ann Alpert.
Elaine E. Levin is spending her summer vacation from UCLA
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Levin of Steel Ave.
Bryna Lewis and Phyllis Levett are vacationing at Ramona
Park Hotel, Harbor Springs, Mich.
. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Elkes of 1113 W. First St., Royal Oak, have
left to spend the summer months at Camp Tamakwa, Algonquin
Park, Canada.
Rosalyn Ann Eiseman of 2919 Glynn Ct. is visiting with relatives
in Rochester, Syracuse and Utica, N. Y.
Mrs. Irving Eiseman and son, Harold, of 2919 Glynn Ct. and her
sister, Mrs. J. Zucker, returned from a visit in Rochester, N. Y.

Lumelsky, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Abe Lumelsky of Wyandotte,
Mich., on Sunday, July 4, at Con-
gregation Bnai David.

EDELSTEIN-LEVIN: Mill Cor-
ner, the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Abraham J. Levin of Franklin,
Mich., was the scene of a beauti-
fully appointed wedding, Friday
afternoon, July 2, when their
daughter, Nancy, became the
bride of Harold Edelstein of New
York. Dr. B. Benedict Glazer
performed the ceremony in the
presence of the immediate fam-
ilies and a group of close friends.
The bride chose a bouffant
gown of white net and lace, the
fitted bodice of which was fash-
ioned with cap sleeves and a
high round neckline. She wore
her mother's veil of heirloom
rosepointe lace and carried a fan
of matching lace to which an
arrangement of white orchids and
trailing ivy was attached.
Mrs. Alvin Newsom was the
matron of honor and Sam Green
of Guatemala served his nephew
as best man. Franklin Quentin
Levin, the bride's small brother,
was the ring bearer and their
brothers, Jud, Jerry and Robert,
seated the guests.
The wedding march was played
by Mrs. Isadore Levin.
Besides a number of school
friends of both the bride and
her mother who came from New
York and Cincinnati the out of
town guests included the bride-
groom's mother, Mrs. Rose Shim
berg, his aunt, Mrs. Burt Green,
and Mrs. Rose Babbitt of New
York; the bride's aunts and an
uncle, Mrs. Raphael Isaacs of
Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Rob-
ert P. Goldman of Cincinnati.
The young couple plan to make
their home in New York.

At a dinner held recently at
Huyler's the following officers

WOMEN: Sue Berger, president;-
Audrey Cornfield, vice president;
recording secretary, Revd Edel-
son; corresponding secretary,
Doris Anstandig; Margie Caul,

tinel. Mrs. Newton Einstandig
will remain as chapter advisor.

Los Angeles Hospital
Auxiliary Plans New
Fund-Raising Drive

A new fund-raising drive. un-
der the chairmanship of H. Gold-
enberg, is announced by the De-
troit Auxiliary of the Los An-
geles Sanitarium.
Paul Dubinsky, executive di-
rector of the Sanitarium, spoke
to the Detroit group June 26,
describing the increasing patient
load of the hospital, and explain-
ing its building program. He
urged widespread support of the
all-Jewish tuberculosis hospital,
emphasizing the need for a med-
ical center where Jewish doctors
and nurses can be trained with-

At a double ring ceremony held
at the Park Avenue hotel, Sun-
day, June 27, Florence Morris,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney
Morris, of LaSalle Blvd., became
the bride of Morton Kasoff, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kasoff,
of Waverly Ave.
The bride's gown was of ivory
satin with a sheer illusion yoke,
and a deeply set ruffle running
completely around the shoulder.
The fitted bodice was caught at
the back with a bustle, and her
full skirt draped in a circular
train over a hoop. Her bonnet was
heart shaped, and from it fell the
illusion veiling of fingertip length.
She carried white orchids on a
prayer book.
The bride's attendants were:
Sylvia Kasoff, matron of honor;
Sheila Kasoff, Sybil Fishman,
Clara Wiesenberg, bridesmaids,
and Michele Morris, flower girl.
Herman Kasoff served his
brother as best man. Seymour
LeVine, Seymour Weinstein and
Eugene Tapfer were ushers. Ben-
jamin Morris was ring bearer.
The couple spent their honey-
moon trip to northern Michigan.
