MARGARET WAGSHAL, 2630
Blaine, died May 27. Services
were held at Kaufman Chapel,
with Rabbi Leopold Neuhaus of-
ficiatiing. She leaveS her hus-
band, Frank, and a daughter,
Renee. Interment was at Mach-
pelah Cemetery.

STANLEY SCHILLER, 26, of
Chicago, Ill., died June 3. Funer-
al services were conducted by
Rabbi Morris Adler at Lewis
Bros. Burial was at Clover. Hill
Park Cemetery. He leaves his
wife, Sarah; a son, Eric; his fath-
er, Harry A. Schiller; a sister,
Mrs. H. Saul Singar.

of 1118 Sheldon, Grand Rapids,
died June 5. Rabbi Gaynor of
Pontiac officiated at funeral ser-
vices at Lewis Bros. Burial was
at Beth Tefila Emanuel Ceme-
tery. She leaves her husband,
Henry; sisters, Mrs. Charles Eil-
ender and Goldie Elbling; and
brothers, Alex J. and Ben B.
Elbling.

77, died June 5.. Services were
held at the Hebrew Benevolent
Society, with interment at Beth
Telfilah Cemetery. Rabbi Neu-
haus officiated. Mrs. Rottenberg.
is survived by husband,. Nor-
bert, and three sons, William,
Arnold and Henry.

died June 4. Services were held

ciating. She leaves her husband,
Jacob; three sons, William S.
Kane and Ben F. Kane, both of
Los Angeles, and Max Kane;
two daughters, Mrs. Carl Rosen- ,
field and Mrs. Frank Sauls; one
sister, Mrs. Morris Clark of Chi-
cago; 12 grandchildren and two
great - grandchildren. Interment
was at Machpelah Cemetery.

SHAW, 1635 Calvert, who died
Sept. 25, 1944, in France, were

Rabbi Hershman officiating. He
leaves his mother, Mrs. Dora
Shaw, and two brothers, Donald
and Seymour. Interment was at
Clover Hill Park.

Shulsinger officiating. She leaves
three sons, David, Arthur and

Baum; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah
Richter and Mrs. Gertrude Glass-
berg, both of New York; six
gandchildren, and four great-
grandchildren. Interment was at
Beth Abraham Cemetery.

leaves her husband, Nathan; a
son, Samuel J.; and two daugh-

Mrs. Jacob Liebow. Interment
was at Beth Abraham Cemetery.

leaves her husband, Mandal; a
son, Joseph; five daughters, Mrs.

dore Powers, Mrs. Richard Goss-'
man, Mrs. Jewell Salins and
Zelda Hassal;. two sisters,' Mrs.
Harry Dancik of Brooklyn and
Mrs. Joseph Holpert of New
York. Interment was in Mac-
pelah Cemetery.

SAMUEL E. FARBMAN; 71,
18701 Pennington, died suddenly
June 8. A resident of Detroit since
1906 when he came from-Odessa,
Russia, he was a custom tailor
on Brush St. for many years and
in recent years in the tailoring
business on Jos. Campau. He was
a member of the N. W. Hebre•
Congregation. Surviving are his
wife, Bertha; sons, Dr. Aaaron A.
Farbman, Dr. Simon S. Farbman;
a daughter, Mrs. Ira G. (Lillian
Kafnian); a brother, Joseph Farb-
man, all of Detroit; a sister,
Bertha Raif of Rosario, Argen-
tine. Funeral services were held
Wednesday at Lewis Bro. Burial
was in Mt. Sinai Memorial Park
Cemetery. * * *
SOL AIDAM, 71, died June 6.
Funeral services were held at
Hebrew Benevolent Society,
with interment at Hebrew Me-
morial Park. Rabbi Stollman of-
ficiated. He is survived by his
widow, Ida; a daughter, Mrs.
Ruth Leivech; two grandchildren
and three brothers.

Dr. Billikopf Adds
Tribute to Mr. Butzel

Dr. Jacob Billikopf of Philadel-
phia, in a letter to The Jewish
News, pays tribute to the mem-
ory of Fred M. Butzel. He writes:
"I_ can't tell you how deeply
shocked I was when I read that
Fred Butzel passed away. He
was indeed sui generis. .. Our
friendship dated back to 1907
when both of us were involved
not only in Jewish but also in
non-Jewish causes and in social
legislation."

Mattathias Tent-Hive
To Show Zion Films

Mattathias Tent-Hive or the
Maccabees will have a movie
night at 9 p. m. Thursday, June
17, at the Workman's Circle. Fea-
tured films will be "Palestine, the
March of Times," and "Histadrut,
the Builder of the Nation," plus
short skits and cartoons.
Presentation of a check of $200,
to cover the organization's pledge
to last winter's Histadrut drive,
to Sam Rabinowitz, director of
the Detroit Histadrut office,
will be made by the commander,
Louis Papo.
The meeting will be open to
members and friends.

Unveilings

The family of the late Fanny
Schweitzer announces the un-
veiling of a monument in her
memory at 1 p. m. Sunday, June
20, at Beth Moses Cemetery, 13 1/2
Mile Rd. at Masonic Blvd. Rabbi
Golden will officiate. Friends and
relatives are invited to attend
the service.
