A Cantata—"The Sabbath"—
written by Rabbi Morris Adler,
will be featured at the Torah
Scholarship 'Fund luncheon of the
Sisterhood of Shaarey Zedek,
Tuesday noon, Feb. 3, in the syn-
agogue social hall. The event is
being sponsored to secure an
additional $9,000 towards the $21,-
500 endowment fund to the Jew-

To Speak in Institute

This Sabbath, when Parshat
b'Shalach will be read during
synagogue morning services, will
be dedicated by the Detroit Rab-
binate to the Jewish National
Fund. Arthur Shutkin, executive
director of the JNF Council an-
nounced.
Mr. Shutkin explained that it is
traditional to set aside this Sab-
bath in the interests of the Jewish
National Fund. He announced
that the Council of Orthodox Rab-
bis, whose president is Rabbi
Isaac Stollman, has issued an ap-
peal to all presidents and syna-
gogue officials urging them to fol-
low the past traditions and to
devote all contributions made
during the distribution of Aliyoth
this Sabbath, to the JNF.

Story to be Aired Sunday

The war-time story of Dr. Zal-
man Grinberg, the physician who
later became chairman of the
Central Committee for Liberated
Jews in Germany, provides the
basis for "Little Sakiki," adapted
for the Eternal Light by Irve
Tunick, to be presented at 8 a.tn.
Sunday, Jan. 18, on station WWJ.
"Little Sakiki" tells of Dr.
Grinberg's flight from the Nazis,
and relates the story of how,
after being separated from his
