Miss Lillian Forman, 'whose marriage to tam Fleischman will take
place Feb. 1, has been entertained by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Jesse
Forman, in her home, on Jan. 15, and on Jan. 18 was entertained at
the home of Lillian Brownstein. On Jan. 20 a shower was given for
Miss Forman by the bridegroom's family—the Lachovers and Fleisch-
mans—at the Wilshire Hotel. On Jan. 27 a shower will be given by
her .sisters-in-law, Mrs. Sadie Forman and Mrs. Blanche Forman, at
Rosenberg's.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius P. Fox, of Oakman Blvd., have returned
from a trip through Los Angeles, Catalina Islands, San Diego, Mex-
ico and San Francisco. While in Los Angeles. they attended radio
broadcasts and through the courtesy of Max Factor, Inc. a luncheon
and tour of R. K. O. Studios. Several former Detroiters, who are
residents of Los Angeles, entertained them. They also visited with
friends in Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold L. Weiss (Ruth Shapiro) have moved to
their new home at 20058 Stansbury Drive.
Dr. and Mrs. Gerald R. Aptekar, of Pinehurst Ave., have re-
turned from a vacation in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Schwartz and daughter, Shirley M., have
moved from Pingree Ave. to 19161 Monica.
Joseph Polakoff of Chicago is the houSe guest of Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Abrams of San Juan Drive.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Erman of Pennington Drive have returned
from a visit in Chicago.
The Jack Weinbergs were feted at a surprise fifth anniversary
and housewarming party Dec. 27 by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fenton and
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sofferin.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tischler (Ruth Hoffman) of 19723 Meyers
Rd. have returned from New York where they visited with Mr.
Tischler's parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Siegl and children, Mascha, Zev and Mi-
son, have returned to their home in Mt. Vernon, N. Y., after visit-
ing with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kolman Shapiro of 18625 Wil-
demere.
Mrs. Melvin J. Kramar and son, Steven David, of Appoline Ave.,
are spending a month in Hollywood, Calif., visiting her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. H. D. Kite.
Mr. and Mrs. S. Ackerman of Highland Park are spending a
short vacation in New York City.
Mrs. Morry Braverman and Mrs. Louis James Klavons left for
a few months in Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Francisco.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Berlin and daughter, Judith, of Webb
Ave. are joining their son, Sanford, in Tucson, Ariz. They will reside
in their new home on Calle Gloritta in Tucson.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo M. Butzel of Burns Dr. left Thursday for
Palm Beach, Fla., where they will be guests at the Breakers for the
winter months.
Dr. B. D. Welling.of the Belcrest left Sunday for Santa Barbara,
Calif., where he will visit his brother, Leo.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C. Frank of Colorado Ave. are visiting in
New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Allen of Lincolnshire Dr. are spending a
few weeks in Palm Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ginsburg and daughter, Minyon, of Chicago
Blvd. left Wednesday for New York, where they will meet their
son-in-laW and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ruskin of Chicago,
who are returning from Europe. After a short stay in New York,
the Ginsburgs will sail on a West Indies cruise.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Fisher and daughter, Jane, of Parkside Ave.
and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rothberg of Chicago Blvd. have returned
from Arizona, where they spent a few weeks.
Dr. Max Wershow of Los Angeles spent a fortnight in the city
visiting with friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cohane of Highland Ave. have returned
from a few weeks in Sarasota, Fla. Mrs. Cohane's father, L. A.
Freund, has left for Los Angeles, where he will spend the winter
months.
Mrs. Kelly Kaufman of Muskegon spent a few days in the city
visiting with members of her family and friends.
Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Blierer of Muirland Ave. have returned
from a visit in Los Angeles.
Mac A. Gordon of Covington Rd. is planning to leave this week-
end for a stay in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Alfred Frank has returned to her home in Petoskey fol-
lowing a short visit with her sister, Mrs. Louis Srni-lan.sky of Burns Dr.
Mrs. Jeannette Lazarus of the Book Cadillac Hotel is vacationing
in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Joseph Levin of the Wilshire is visiting her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David Croll of Toronto, Ont.
Mrs. Emil Baron of Hazelwood Ave. is spending a few weeks
in. Los Angeles.
Bernard Abramovitz has returned to his classes at Riverside
Military Academy, in Hollywood, Fla., folloWing a visit with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Abramovitz of Clements Ave. -
Louis Stoll of the Lee Plaza Apt. is spending a few weeks
visiting in California.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Oppenheim of Whitmore Rd. left on a few
weeks motor trip through the South.
Mrs. Samuel Hartman of Shrewsbury Rd. is returning this Friday
from a few clays visit in New York.
Mr. and Mrs. John .C. Hopp of Boston Blvd. left Saturday to
spend a month in Palm Springs and Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lewis of Birmingham have returned from
a few days visit in New York.
Mr. and Mrs.' Benjamin Kramer of Whitmore Rd. have returned
from a short visit in Chicago.
Robert Grossman of Muirland Ave. has returned from a stay in
California.
'Elizabeth B. Ness of Glasgow, Scotland, is spending a few weeks
. as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Benach of Oakman Blvd.
Mrs. A.• M. Fisher has returned to her home in Pittsburgh fol-
lowing a visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Rubiner of Chicago Blvd.

Merton Rd. left Tuesday for Los Angeles, where they plan to make
their home.

Philip Stollman to work for
Eretz Israel on a political and
social basis in accordance with
Mizrachi principles.
The following officers were
elected: Emil Spilman, president;
Dr. Morris - Shoshkes, vice-pres-
ident; Mrs. Emil Spilman, record-
ing secretary; Mrs. Julius Spil-
berg, corresponding secretary;
Max Stollman, treasurer; Irwin
A. Lawton, publicity chairman;
Cantor Pavel Slavenski, co-
chairman.
The next meeting will be held
this Saturday evening at the home
of Mrs. J. Spilberg, 10024 Broad-
street.
