Aid Pays Dividends
Community aid to refugees is
paying dividends in citizenship,
civic interest and appreciation,
Harold Silver, executive director
of Resettlement Service, pointed
out in releasing a note received
from an ex-refugee, now an
Amrican citizen, who ha's estab-
lished a business in Detroit. This
man, who was assisted by• Reset-
tlement Service upon his arrival
here, enclosed a contribution for
the agency's program.
"On the occasion of a family
celebration," the letter read, "per-
mit me to send you a check for
$25, to be used at your discretion
in resettlement work. My fam-
ily and myself are always mind-
ful of the fine work you and
your organization have done in
the past and are still doing,"
Resettlement Service, a mem-
ber agency of Jewish Wel-
fare Federation, is supported by
the Allied Jewish Campaign.
