"His • Bride's Honeymoon" is
the latest musical comedy to be
staged in Detroit under the direc-

the Scottish Rite 'Cathedral of
the Masonic Temple.
The words to the song follow:
This Yiddish play will feature

Come and go. • In mankind's heart we wrote our pages in golden Pesachke Burstein and Lillian

Well now to wield our swords and shields. Are we to live to see

Will not ill books be written, though -everlasting be our toil, and
should we fall, our bodies smitten, we'll purify our people's soil.
Since days of yore, throughout the ages, we're still unconquered and
alive. We're marching on. We brave the rages of all our foes, and
we "survive. We're marching on and we survive.

Rejoicing over the great news that came from Flushing
Mejgdows that the UN had voted in favor of the re-establishment
of a Jewish state, Julius Chajes, the eminent pianist-composer, at
once coMposed the following "Hymn of Freedom" ("Shir Cheruth").
