JULIE ADLER has been teach-
ing dancing since she was 13
years old . . and "Crazy
Rhythm'. the extravagant music-
al production which she present-
ed last week, at the Masonic
Temple . . . was finally the reali-
zation of an ambitious dream
for her . . . and it couldn't have
been sweeter. . . . The tow-n'll
long be talking about Julie's
dream! . . . One part had 15
girls wearing costumes illumin-
ated by electric bulbs . . . with
the sockets secretely placed so
the audience would be guessing
about it for the next couple of
weeks. . . . Special scenery and
wardrobe arrived from New
York . . . and technicolor movies
of the entire production were
taken. . . . The singing. dancing
and expert direction which wove
into the perfect continuity . . •

VACATION TIME
With the good old summer time
here once more, folks are turning
their attention to outdoor activ-
ities and traveling. Teenagers are
taking their vacations in several
different ways. Many are going
to summer school while recrea-
tion to others is a summer job.
Many of our friends are going to
camp as counselors which seems
to be the perfect summer occupa-
tion.. Well, kids, no matter where
you go, don't rock the boat, take
it easy, but have a wonderful
time.
SWEET SIXTEENS
Julia Neidelson is being feted
for number 16 by her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. William R. Neidel-
son, at a luncheon at her home
on Saturday, June 28. Receiving
invitations are Myrna Segal,
Rhoda Decker, Helga Hopfeld,
Phyliss Levett, and Bryiaa Lewis.
At Diane Levy's summer home,
12 couples joined in greeting her
w ith congr atulations for her
sweet sixteen at a beach party and
weenie roast. Sally Lebowitz with
Norby Goldberg, Helen Korman
with Shel Leiderman, and Margo
Abets with Art Ross had a swell
time speedboat riding. Diane's
escort was Buddy Marder.
Sydell Halberg not only had a
luncheon but also a house party
given by her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Samuel A. Halberg on June
20. Encircled about Babs Levey
with Moore Stein, an honest to
goodness Frenchman, were Irene
Lipshaw with Jerry Winkler and
Marcia Leeman with Al Marko-
witz asking questions about his
native land. Sydell's date was
Skippy -Siegel.
Rebecca Myers enjoyed her 16th
birthday with a hay ride and
weenie roast at Magnolia Stables
on June 21. Rivian Meltzer was
with Mary Horowitz, Sally Pol-
lack with Eddie Singer and Lee
Feige was Becky's escort.
HOBBIES
Those that are not going out
of the city take up an interest-
ing hobby. If you are mechanical-
ly inclined, repair that broken
radio. Your wrist watch too, might
need adjusting. Then there is
stamp collecting and also the op-
portunities for becoming acquaint-
ed with the background of our
great operas. But, whatever you
do, don't waste your summer.
Make it a time to become a more
cultured individual in our world
of today.
