Author to Speak Before
Men's Groups During Week

Addresses Manufacturers

Talks by Marvin Lowenthal, author and lecturer; Joseph
Salzberger, secretary of the Cooperative Movement of Jeru-
salem, and Rabbi Morris Adler of Cong. Shaarey Zedek, will
highlight meetings in behalf of the Allied Jewish Campaign
for the coming week.
Author of the best-seller, "The Jews of Germany," stir-
ring account of the Jewish past --,

trophe for the Jewish people,
Lowenthal has made a study of
Jewish life and customs in
Europe, North Africa, Syria and
the Near East. He was secretary
of the World Conference for In-
ternational Peace Through Re-
ligion in Paris from 1928 to 1930.

Escaped to Palestine
Salzberger escaped to Palestine
from his native Czechoslovakia
after the Munich agreement. A
schoolteacher by profession, he
worked with other Zionists to
transport nearly 15,000 Jews to
Palestine; later fought with the
British army at the battle of El
Alamein.
Starting off the week will -be:

Restaurant Equipment section, ;
which will have as a unique fea-
ture of its meeting, a preview
of a Hollywood film never before
shown in Detroit.
In addition the film, "A Will to
Live," narrated by Paul Muni,
will lie shown. The meeting will
be held at the Film Exchange
Building, 2300 Cass, beginning at
8:15 p.m. Arrangements have
been made by Benjamin L. Smith,
chairman, and Irving Goldberg
and Jesse R. Feiler, co-chairman.
Accountants Meet
The Accountants section will
hold a dinner meeting at 6:30,
Monday evening, April 28, in the
English Room of the Statler Hotel.
Arthur S. Purdy is chairman of
the section, while Lawrence
Aronson, Robert Clinton, Joseph
Cotten, Joseph L. Staub and
David P. Zack are members of
the executive committee.

and Specialty Shop section will
hear Joseph Salzberger at a din-
ner meeting at 6:30, Tuesday eve-
ning, April 29, in the Crystal
Ballroom of the Book Cadillac
