FER and-ALEX BELKIN.

Four French-Jewish boys who
were sheltered in a non-Jewish
orphanage in Paris during the
war arrived in Detroit this week
to take up residence with their
uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Miller of 18024 Griggs.
The youths, aged 11, 13, 15 and
17, are the only surviving mem-
bers of Mr. Miller's sister's fam-
ily. Their mother, father, two

brothers and a baby sister were
seized by the Nazis and deport.
ed, "destination unknown."
Although the boys were re-
ported missing by the French
government, the Millers refused
to accept their loss. Another
nephew, who had fought with
the British in the Jewish Brigade,
conducted a personal search fdr
them, finally securing the address
of the orphanage where they
were living.
The refugees were met in New
York April 21, when they ar-
rived aboard the Augustina Vie•
toria.
. The Millers already have three
daughters, aged two, eight and 11.
