Revisionists Denounce
British Executions As
'Evil, Cowardly Act'

The United Zionists-Revisionists
of Detroit this week denounced
the execution of Dov Gruner and
three other Irgunists as an "evil
and cowardly act" on the part of
the British.
In a statement issued by M.
Manuel Merzon, president, the
Revisionists referred to historical ,
incidents in which a ruling power
executed an individual who later
proved a martyr. The most not-
able of these was the crucifiction
of Jesus' by the Roman Governcir
Pontius Pilate "whose evil deed"
Merzon understated, "has hardly
detracted frOin the victim's
stature."
The statement inferred that
Gruner, Dov Rosenbaum, Eliezer
Kashani and Mordecai Alkushi
may become Jewish" martyrs,
Whose execution will spur a-
"counter-offensive" against the
British.,
