spending the week-end in Oxford. 0., as the guest of Joan Grosner
and Betty Ziv, students at Western College.
Mr. and Mrs. David Stober of Fairfield Ave. have returned from
a month in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Shiffman of the Lee Crest Apt. are spending
a month in Jamaica.
Mrs. Harry Grossman of Parkside Ave. is visiting in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Martha Schless of New York is the guest of her son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Falk of Stoepel Ave.
Dr. and Mrs. Otto Hirsch left Tuesday for an extended stay in
Florida.

weeks in California.

days in Mobile, Ala., and New Orleans.
Mrs. Warren Greenstone of Roselawn Ave. has returned from
Syracuse, N. Y., where she visited her mother.

fornia where he spent the last two months.

from Mexico.

NEW YORK — Assemblyman
Bernard M. Austin emphatically
announced- his intention of con-
tinuing the fight to have the
New York State Legislature
lake favorable action on the
Austin-Mahoney Bill before it
adjourns this month.
Denying reports ' that he had
withdrawn sponsorship of the
bill which would outlaw discrim-
ination in education on the b..sis
of race. color, or national drigin,
Assemblyman Austin, in a pre-
pared address for the State As-
sembly declared:
"I have not withdrawn my
sponsorship. Quite the contrary.
I believe more than ever that it
is urgent that this bill be enacted
into law."

mark the relations between cer-
tain groups in almost every com-
munity in the country," accord-
ing to Elmer Gertz, in his pam-
phlet "American Ghettos." Gertz

white satin gown appliqued with
rosepoint lace and endinj in a
long train. Her veil of French
illusion was held by a rosepoint
crown. She carried a white orchid
on a prayer book.
She is a graduate of Detroit
Central High School and attend-
ed the University of Iowa. Dr.
Rubenstein graduated from the
University of Toronto Medical
School where he was a member
of Phi Delta Epsilon.
A dinner at the Prince Edward
Hotel followed the ceremony.
The young couple are on an ex-
tended honeymoon in Mexico,
Havana, Miami Beach and New
York.
