for Palm Beach where they plan to spend the remainder of the
winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wineman of Hamilton Dr. left on Monday
to spend a few weeks in Cuba.
Mr. and Mrs. Nate Shapero of Strathcona Dr. are spending
a few weeks in Boca Raton, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schlesinger of the Lee Crest Apt.
have left for Memphis, Tenn., where they will spend a few weeks
visiting with friends.

Mrs Sidney Allen of Lincolnshire Dr., who has been in Miami
Beach, Fla., the last few weeks visiting with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Leo Zuckerman, has joined Mr. Allen in New York. They
are expected home on Saturday.
Mrs. A. M. Ermann of Merton Rd. left on Sunday for CM-
cinnati where she will spend a fortnight visiting with her daughter,
Mrs. Joseph Ullman.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon G. Winkelman of Fairfield Ave. have re-
turned from Palm Beach, Fla., where they spent a -few weeks as
guests at the Whitehall Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel J. Harris of Gloucester Dr. have left
for California where they expect to visit for the next six weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rosenthal of Pontiac are vacationing in
Miami Beach.
Mrs. William Isenberg of Edison Ave. returned on Tuesday from
New York where she spent a week visiting with members of her
family.
Miss Helen Salomon of Atkinson Ave. left on Monday for Boston
where she plans to spend a week visiting with friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lasky of Whitmore Rd. are spending a few
weeks in Miami Beach visiting with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lasky.
Mrs. Louis Burns of Buena Vista Ave. has returned from Los
Angeles where she visited with members of her family.
Mr. and Mrs. S. Ben Pearl of Canterbury Rd. are spending a
few weeks in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Herbert Lazarus of Portland, Me., is spending a week
visiting with her mother, aMrs. Rena Rodin of Boston West.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hellman and their three children of Indiana
Ave. have returned from a month's stay in Miami Beach where they
were the house guests of Mr. Helfman's parents.
Mrs. 4lfred Frank of Petoskey spent a few days as the guest of
her sister,'Mrs. Louis Smilansky of Burns Dr.
Mrs. Sadie Singer of Rochester Ave. is spending a few weeks in
Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. James Frank have left for Paris, Ky., where they
plan to make their home.
Mrs. Lee Oppenheim and children of Canterbury Rd. are spend-
ing a few weeks in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jacobs of Glynn CL returned from Birm-
ingham, Ala., where they were the guests of Mrs. Jacobs' family.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Marks of Clairmount Ave., returned from
a six weeks' stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rosman of Boston Blvd. and Mr'. and Mrs.
Morris Rosenberg of Strathcoma Dr. returned on Thursday from a
few weeks' stay in Hot Springs, Ark.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Levin and daughter. Rose, of Fullerton Ave.
returned from a two-month stay in Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mr& Morris Sukenic of Woodingham Dr. were hosts to
their family and friends at a dinner at the Shaarey Zedek last
Sunday evening in honor of the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Lawrence.
Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Levin and
son. Marvin, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cohen and Mrs. Ida Cohen of
Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Green of Toledo; Mr. and Mrs. Ben
Williams, their daughter, Nancy, and son, Richard, of Windsor.

BERSS-ZACK: Announcement
is` made of the marriage of Miss
Ann Zack to Ben Berss of Chi-
cago, Feb. 23, at the home of the
bride's sister and brother-in-law,,
Dr. and Mrs. M. M. Levin. After
the ceremony, which v.-as con-
ducted by Rabbi Silverman, the
newlyweds left for a two-week
stay in New York.

KESSLER - GLINER: The mar-
riage of Ann Gliner to Sidney
Kessler took place Feb. 16, at
Beth Tefilo Emanuel Synagogue.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Isadore Gliner of Buena
Vista Ave., and her husband's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Sol
Kessler of Buena Vista Ave.
The bride chose for her wed-
ding, a candlelight satin gown
with bustle back, illusion neck-
line, and long sleeves trimmed
with pearls. The crown on the
finger-length veil was also of
pearls. The bride carried a spray
of 'white orchids on a Bible.
Sadie Gliner, was her sister's
maid of honor, and Mrs. Sol Stein-
hart, sister-in-law of the bride,
was matron of honor. The brides-
maids were Sally Jaffe, Ethel
Kunin, and Margaret Glenner.
Natalie Poperwitz was junior
bridesmaid and Bonnie Warren
was the flower girl.
Ben Kauffman was best man,
and the ushers were Gorden Ber-
man, George Adelberg and Abe
Zaff. Seymour Gliner was junior
usher, ,and Elliot Winehouse was
ring bearer.
The newlyweds are honey-
mooning in Chicago.

:Talented Phyllis Pullberg
Wins Starway Scholarship

Phyllis Pullberg, eight-year-
old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Pullberg of Calvert Ave.,
has been awarded a scholarship
from the Starway School of
Dancing which will enable her
to go to Hollywood next year.
The School makes an annual
award to a pupil of outstanding
dancing, singing awl scholastic
ability. Phyllis was one of 60
contestants for the scholarship.

I Attara Chapter

Detroit Women's Division of
American Jewish Congress an-
nounces that it is arranging to
decentralize the organization and
to organize chapters on a geo-
graphical basis.
Mrs. Samuel Green, president,
states that the organization has
grown to such propoitions that
it is felt that a large member-
ship will function best on the
basis of area chapters.
A blueprint of decentralization
was presented by Mrs. Phil Stel-
lar at the Feb. 18 meeting.
Packages are being prepared
to aid the 1,700 orphans that are
supported by the Jewish Con-
gress in Europe, in 12 children's
homes. Packages are being gath-
ered by Mrs. Emanuel Baker,

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Rosner of
