Federation Women to Probe
Problems of Jewish. Youth
Problems of Jewish children and the role of Jewish social
service agencies in solving these problems will be the central
theme of "Accent on Youth" to be presented by the Women's
Division of the Jewish Welfare Federation, Thursday, Jan. 30
at Hotel Statler.
The day's discussions will take place at four panel meet-
ings beginning at 10:30 a. m. and

engagement of Marilyn Gross-
light to Edward M. Blumberg,
son of Mrs. Oscar Blumberg of

berg. The bride-elect is the

Miss Grosslight attended the Uni-
versity of Michigan. The couple
plan a June wedding.

Elka, to Leonard Nudelman, son

Year's Eve by the Jewish Branch

Shaar Hashomayim auditorium,

Windsor.

taken for the festivities, which
will include a 9-course strictly
kosher dinner, floor show, favors
and dancing to the music of Jack
Burrows and his band. Admission

For Leader of Agudah
JERUSALEM, (JTA)—A street
in the Sanhedrian quarter of Jer-
usalem renamed in honor of the
late Rabbi Moshe Blau, former
leader of the Agudas Israel. The
street is in an area where a large
Agudah housing project is near-
ing completion.

Madame Spanjaard, an eye-

$500,000 Contributions
NEW YORK, (JTA)—Gifts and
pledges of $508,000 to Brandeis
University, America's first secu-
lar educational institution under
Jewish auspices, were reported
by Julius Silver, treasurer of Al-
bert Einstein Foundation, spon-
soring body of the university.
Mr. Silver made public three
gifts to the foundation totaling
$255,000. $105,000 by Mr. and
Mrs. Allen L. Goldfine of New
York City; $100,000 by Israel
Rogosin of New York City; and
$50,000 by A. Shapiro of Boston.
