Rabbi Chaim Weinstein will be
installed as spiritual leader of
Cong. Beth Aaron, the modern
orthodox synagogue recently es-
tablished in the northwest section
of Detroit, at the installation ban-
quet to take place this Sunday
evening in the synagogue hall,
18000 Wyoming, near Thatcher.
Rabbi Moses Rothenberg, dean
of Yeshivath Chachmey Lublin,
where Rabbi Weinstein received
his rabbinical training, and Rabbi
Benjamin Groner of Windsor will
be the principal speakers.
Rabbi Weinstein will be in-
stalled by his father, Rabbi Reu-
ben Weinstein of Buffalo.

Hanukah will be celebrated at
the Jewish Center at .8:30 p.m.
this Saturdz with a program
sponsored by the Yiddish Culturg
Committee of the Center and the
Jewish Community Council.
The program will be opened
with the lighting of the Hanu-
kah candles, and an introduction
of the current significance of the
holiday by Rabbi Morris Adler.
Students of the United Yid-
dish High Schools will recite a
poem by Bialik. The Halevy
Chorus, under the direction of
Dan Frohman, is scheduled to
sing Hebrew and Yiddish songs.
Maurice Dombey will read a
story by Sholem Aleichem,
"Hanukah Gelt." Moe Kessner
will conduct community singing.
Latkes and refreshments will
be served. Tickets may be se-
cured at the Center.

Detroit in the interests of the
Center of Torah education in Pal-
estine. Rabbi Rosenberg has been
received by rabbis and prominent
lay leaders and has been invited
to speak in various congregations
here.
The Center of Torah Education
in Palestine has already establish-
ed within its 10-yeir existence
many educational institutions for
children in all parts of Palestine.
The Center of Torah Education
in Palestine is a non-partisan edu-
cational project. The latest de-
velopments in Palestine and the
rising cost of living there has
made it necessary to appeal to
American Jewry for financial aid
for these institutions. -
