Zim Exhibit Continues
At Community Center
---
The Marco Zim Exhibit

of
paintings and etchings has drawn
such a wide variety of visitors
that the Center Art Committee
has decided to continue the ex-
hibit through November at the
Jewish Center.
Zim's "Autumn." "Springtime,"
"Cornfield," are poetry in color.
In a more sombre and reflective
mood, "Solomon the Wise." and
"Farmington," charcoal sketches,
reflect the more serious aspect of
Zim's work.
Mrs. David B. Weibe is con-
sultant to the Center's Art school.

Mizrachi Parley
Rejects Proposals
To Partition Zion

ATLANTIC CITY (JTA)—The
27th annual convention of the
Mizrachi Organization of A mel-
ica adopted a resolution rejecting
proposals for partition of Ip;-les-
tine and "reaffirming the 1-1: - 1- 013 -
pal claim of an independent Jew-
ish state within its histor is
boundaries as ordained by the
Torah."
The vote on the resolutidn came
after a sharp attack on the pa, ii-
tion proposal of the Jc -,i,,ish
Agency executive by Leon Gell-
man, Mizrachi president, whC;
told the convention that the par-
tition proposal was a "fatal poli-
tical error." Reporting on his :e-
cent visit to Palestine, Mr. Gell-
man said that "the outside v.otld
has no conception whatsoever
the violent terroristic acts ol toe
British administration."
Gedalia Bublick. honorary p: es-
ident of the Mizrachi Orgin;2.a-
tion called on the forthcoming
World Zionist 'Congress to make
radical changes in the leader ship
of the Jewish Agency executive.
He attacked the present Zionist
leadership for its "weak. Sr_.:-)e-
less policies and defeatist atti-
tude." Rabbi Max KirshUum,
executive vice-president c,I 'he
organization warned
would be forced to leave the EAN-
ish Agency if the executive (lid
not follow a line agreed upon
by all Zionist bodies.
