In accordance with the By-laws of the Mechanical

Trades Division of the Detroit Service Group, the re-

port of the Nominating Committee of the Division is

hereby given public notice ten days prior to election

of 9fficers which will take place on Monday, October

28, at 8 p. m. in the USO Lounge, Jewish Community

Center.

When the Nominating Committee of the Pro-
fessional Division of the Detroit Service Group
met at the Jewish Center, on Monday, Oct. 7,
members of the Committee were given a surprise
birthday dinner. But the situation was reversed,
since it was Chairman Sidney Alexander's birth-
day—and he ordered the dinner. Election of

officers will be held at the Division meeting,
Monday, Oct. 28 at the Jewish Center. Left to

Pointing out that the invitation :
to participate in the drive was an
exceptional recognition of the
Junior Service Group's excellent
record in the Allied Jewish Cam-
paign, Mr. Lietieunan urged that
all JSG members take part in the
campaign. "We have a special
responsibiilty," he added, "to
demonstrate that we can do as
good an all community job as we
have done in the past for special
overseas relief needs."
For Zone I. Edward A. Simons
is chairman and the secretary is
Ann Brooks.
Bill Shapiro and Elise M. Zeme
are chairman and secretary, re-
spectively, of Zone II.
The chairman and secretary of
Zone III are Jay Kogan and Her-
mine Stone.
Zone IV will be headed by the
'family team" of chairman and
secretary, Mr. and Mrs. Robert C.
Smith.
The 1946 Community Chest
Drive is being conducted in be-
half of 125 agencies which supply
needed services in the fields of
family and child welfare, health
and recreation.
The following members of the
Junior Service Group will serve
as captains and works in the Red
Feather Drive: Frances Benjamin.
Yvette Brenner, Frieda Brooks,
Marjorie Davidson, Bob Ellman.
Alex J. Etkin, Geraldine Ham-
burg, Selma Korn, Sally Ann
Newman, Richard Prentis, Pearl
Sharfman, Elaine Shiffman, Mor-
ton Zieve, Morton Zuckerman and
Mrs. Morton Zuckerman.
Members of the Junior Service
Group interested in participating
in the campaign are asked to
write to Mr. Lieberman or Harry
Heller at the JSG office, 51 West
Warren.

this week that he will continue
to promote performances as fre-
quently as possible.
For Sunday matinee and eve-
ning, Oct. 27, at the Scottish Rite
Cathedral of the Masonic Temple,

he has arranged for the presenta-
tion of the musical production,
"Ehrlach un Schwerlach."
