Muriel S. Kleinwaks Memorial
Dental Scholarship recently estab-
lished at the University of Mich-
igan. The scholarship provides
tuition expenses for one year,
subject to renewal, for a student
now in the U. of M. School of
Denistry.
The scholarship has been estab-
lished by friends of the late

Muriel S. Kleinwaks who recent-
ly lost her life in an auto crash

while returning to her home in
New Jersey for a brief vacation
from the universitor. Miss Klein-
waks was a denistry student and
was also head resident of the Hil-
lel House dormitory.
Judges include Rabbi Herschel
Lymon, director of the Hillel
Foundation. Dr. Saul Cohen of
the psychology department and
Dr. William Haber of the depart-
ment of economics.
Those interested may obtain in-

Rabbi Leon Fram, vice-presi-
dent of the Jewish Community
Council, presided Monday eve-
ning at a quarterly meeting of _
the Council in the auditorium of
the Jewish Center. More than
100 delegates were present.
By an amendment adopted at
this meeting, future membership
of the Council's executive corn-
mittee is to be limited to indivi-
duals who are duly accredited
delegates to the Council.
Another amendment provides
that at least 50% of thy member-
ship of all other standing corn-
mittees consist of accredited del-
egates to the Council.
The meeting adopted two other
amendments related to the meth-
od of and time for convening
delegates' meetings.
The Council's proposed budget
for 1946-47, as approved by the
executive committee, was ap-
proved by the delegates.
Reporting on behalf of the
Community Relations Commit-
tee, of which he is chairman,
Rabbi Fram described activities
undertaken by this committee
since the last meeting of the
delegates. His report included
comments on contacts with news-
papers, public officials, and
other representative community-
people which have been under-
taken on behalf of Detroit's Jew-
ish community during the past
three months.
