Celia, Carol Lou and Marilynn Schmier, daughters of Mr. and
Mrs. Abe A. Schmier of Sherbourne Road, returned home after -
spending a summer's vacation at Burr Oaks Camp, Mukwonago, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Schmier have left for a week's visit in New York City.
Mrs. Walter L. Field and daughter, Harriet, of Cherrylawn Ave.
returned from a five-week trip to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Mr. Field will remain in Los Angeles until next week.
Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Woolf left on Aug. 30 for a 10-day stay
in the Catskills and New York.
Mr. and Mrs. John Miller have moved from Stoepel Ave. and
now are residing at 18423 Monica.
Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Shlain returned from a three week
Carribean cruise, preceded by a week's stay at the Waldorf-Astoria
in New Pork.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Fisch of Oakman Blvd. announce that the
marriage of Miss Magda Weiss to Paul Hartman of Carracas, Vene-
zuela, will take place at the Bnai Moshe at 2 p. m. on Sept. 15.
with a reception following from 4 to 8 p. m. A bridal shower will
be given in Miss Weiss' honor on Sept. 10, at the Book Cadillac, by
Mesdames Louis and Eugene Hartman.
Mr. and Mrs. Morey Patrick are vacationing for two weeks in
Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. T. Stein of Tuxedo Ave. will hold open house
in honor of their son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Seymour
B. Stein, on Saturday evening, Sept. 7. Dr. Stein recently was dis-
charged from the Army Medical Corps upon his return to the U. S.
from service in Japan.
Dr. and Mrs. Leighton Steele of Monterey Ave. returned from a
fortnight in Minacqua, Wis.
Mrs. A. M. Ermann of Merton Rd. is visiting her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ulman in Cincinnati.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Klein of Chicago Blvd. returned from
St. George, Bermuda, where they were guests for a fortnight at the
St. George Hotel.
Mrs. Sidney Fecheimer of Monterey Ave. is visiting her father
in Cincinnati.
Mr. and Mrs. -Henry Soss, their two daughters and their son
of Balmoral Rd. have returned from a few weeks stay in Swam-
scott, Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Julian Krolick of Chicago Blvd., returned from
Hilton, Ont., where they spent the summer.
Miss Natalie Zemon has returned from New York where she
attended the summer session of Columbia University. She will spend
a few weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Zemon before
leaving for Northampton, Mass., where she attends Smith College.
Sally Brown and Joyce Janeway are among the students who
left this week to resume their studies at Vassar Callege in Pough-
keepsie, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Levin and their family of Muirland, Ave. re-
turned from Hilton, Ont., where they spent the summer months.
Among the vacationers returning this week from a summer in
Charlevoix were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Butzel of Burns Dr., Mr. and
Mrs. Nathan Simons of Strathcona Dr., Mr. and Mrs. 'Victor Klein
and their son, Bobby, of Stratford Rd. and Mr. and Mrs. Royal Maas
of Cambridge Rd.
Mrs. Louis Rosenthal and her daughter, Marjory, of the Bel-
crest Hotel returned frOm Mackinac Island where they were guests
at Grand Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Shwayder of Fairfield Ave. have as their
guests, Mrs. Shwayder's father, Michael Clamage of Chicago.
Mrs. David Diamond of Longfellow Ave. returned from Memphis,
Tenn., where she visited her son_in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs.
Harvey Lynn.
Mrs. Peter Vass and daughter. Alice, of the Wilshire Hotel re-

The Misses Frieda and Sadie Weinstein and their sister, Mrs.

Tyler Ave. spent the holiday week-end in Oscoda, Mich.
Miss Elaine Weisman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Weisman
of Leslie Ave., spent the last week-end in Chicago.

Ave. are spending a few weeks in Boston, Mass., where they went

Tawas, Mich.

left by motor for a visit in New York.
Miss Frieda Rosenthal of Dakota Ave. returned from a few
weeks' stay in Nova Scotia. Her mother, Mrs. Mose Rosenthal, also
returned from Flint where he visited with friends.
Dan Saulson of New York spent a week visiting with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Saul Saulson of Broadstreet Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Van Vliet of Corbett Ave. are spending a
month in California and Mexico.
