FRIEDMAN-JACOB: The mar-
riage of Rolla Joan Jacob, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben B. Jacob

Friedman of Shaker Heights, 0.,
was solemnized Tuesday evening,
Aug. 27, at the Book Cadillac Ho-
tel, with Rabbi Brickner of Cleve-
land officiating.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father wore the
gown her sister, Mrs. Irving Gold-
berg, was married in on April 30.
It was fashioned of candelight
satin in the traditional princess
style with fitted bodice, sweet-
heart neckline, long tight sleeves,
and the full skirt extending into a
court train. The veil of heirloom
lace, the one that her mother had
worn on her wedding day, fell
from a lace crown and extended
beyond the train of her gown.
She also carried her mother's fan
of mother of pearl and matching
lace to which were attached two
white orchids and a spray of
stephanotis.
The bride's two sisters, Mrs.
Manuel Hartman and Mrs. Irving
Goldberg, were the. matrons of
honor. The bridesmaids were her
cousin, Janice Traxler, Reva Gold-
berg, Lynn Lucas of Chicago,
Rhoda Lou Hayden, Idell Laupt-
man, Dora Lee Rothberg, Beverly
Prentis and Mrs. Harry Neder-
lander.
Mr. Friedman chose his father
to serve as his best man and the
ushers included his brother, Stan-
ford Friedman, the bride's two
brothers, Richard and Robert
Jacob, Irving and Adolph Gold-
berg, Manuel Hartman and Mer-
ril Sands and Thomas Selber of
Cleveland.

came from out of town were Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Friedman of
Cleveland, Mr. and Mrs. Louis

'Brandeis' on Eternal Light
Opens Wishengrad Festival
As its first presentation on a
"Wishengrad Festival," the Eter-
nal Light will present "Brandeis,"
an original radio drama by Mor-
ton Wishengrad, Sunday, 'Sept. 1,
(NBC, 11 a. in.; WEAF, 12 noon
DST). The festival will consist of
repeat broadcasts of the four best-
liked scripts by Mr. Wishengrad
for the Eternal Light program:
"Brandeis," "Lillian Wald," "Tho-
mas Kennedy," and "The Parable
of Reb Yisroel."
