William Nolan Weiss, son of Mr.
and Mrs. David Weiss of Cortland
Ave., were united in marriage on
July 21, at the Wilshire Hotel, by
Rabbi J. Kaufman, in a double
ring ceremony.

sleeves attached to scalloped

tended by. her sister, Joyce. Al

The young couple are spending
their honeymoon at Mackinac

Mr. and Mrs. Menachem Riba-
low of New York, announce the en-
gagement of theif daughter, Ha-
dassah, to Rabbi Judah Nadich,
former adviser on Jewish affairs to
Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Rabbi Nadich will leave shortly
for a survey of Jewish war refugee
needs in Europe, South Africa. East
Africa and Palestine, for the Joint
Distribution Committee.
Miss Ribalow is executive secre-
tary of the Rabbinical Assembly of
the Jewish Theological Seminary
of America in New York. She holds
a B.A. degree from Hunter Col-
lege and a B.H.L. from the Sem-
inary College of Jewish Studies.
Rabbi Nadich was ordained at
the Jewish Theological Seminary
of America.

month's vacation in Florida.

Miss Yetta Schutzman of Martindale Ave. returned from a
month's stay at Sea Gate, N. Y.

- Mr. and Mrs. Alfred W. Payson and son, Anthony, and Herman
Lieberman of Chicago Blvd. returned from a fortnight's visit at
Lake Geneva, Wis., and Grand Haven, Mich.

Mr. and Mrs. Sidney A. Fuller of Hollywood, Fla., are visiting
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold H. Fuller of Broadstreet Blvd.
Mrs. Sidney Fuller is being extensively entertained, the following
affairs having been given: July 24, at the home of Mrs. Arnold H.
Puller; July 26, at the Book Cadillac, by Mesdames Tobias David
and Harold Fuller; July 30, by Mrs. Isadore Kraft at her home
on Glendale Ave.; July 31, by Mrs. Martin Gurwin, at her home.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Luckoff are vacationing at Mackinac Island,
where they are guests at Grand Hotel.
Miss Celia Winokur of LaSalle Blvd. and Miss Ruth Cantor of
Oakman Blvd. are spending a few weeks at Hilltop Inn, Charlevoix,
Mich.
Mrs. Louis Modris of Oakman Court is vacationing in Char-
levoix, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Weisner and daughter, Pearl, of Wildemere.
Ave. have returned from a motor trip through Northern Michigan
and Wisconsin where they wede guests of Mr. and Mrs. Saul Winkel-
man of St. Ignace, Mich., and Samuel Winkelman of Wausau, Wis.
En route, their daughters. Delphine and Ilene, stopped in Wild Rose,
Wis., to attend a Zionist camp.
Dr. and Mrs. Norman Schkloven and son, Michael, have returned
to Detroit and will resume their residence here.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Nathan are entertaining Mr. and Mrs.
Ben B. Kramer of Meadville, Pa., who are joining them on, a lake
cruise to Duluth.
Dr. and Mrs. William V. Kerwin are spending a three-week va-
cation in Northern Michigan. They will return home on Aug. 26.
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Mackey and daughter, Sylvia, have re-
turned from a three-months motor trip to Arizona, California and
Mexico. Before returning home they alsci will visit with relatives
and friends in St. Paul, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Zide of 2214 Hazelwood will have open house
from 7 to 12 p. m. Sunday, Aug. 4, in honor of their son, Harold,
who has been discharged from the army air forces after serving for
three years. Relatives and friends are invited.
Mrs. Alvin Silver will have open house from 4 to 11 p. m. Sun-
day, Aug. 4, at her home, 3324 Cortland, in honor of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Max Simons of Tuxedo Ave., who are leaving soon to
make their home in Los Angeles. Relatives and friends are invited.
The Misses Betty Minus and Doris Goldberg are on a two weeks'
vacation in Port Austin, Mich.
Dr. and Mrs, Albert E. Bernstein of 2400 W. Boston Blvd. re-
turned home after attending the American Medical Convention in
San Francisco and visiting in Los Angeles. Their daughter, Miriam,
a freshman at the University of Michigan, accompanied them on
their trip and will remain in Los Angeles until Aug. 16.
Rabbi Leon Fram will leave Aug. 6 to spend his vacation at the
Berkshire Music Festival. He will return to Detroit on Aug. 30.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Silberstein of 2713 Leslie entertained 75
guests at Hotel Statler on Aug. 2 in honor of their 26th wedding
anniversary. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gold-
berg of Hamilton, Ontario, Dr. and Mrs. Emil Sternberg and Mrs.
