Mr. and Mrs. Nate Rosenbaum of Youngstown, 0., .are guests
of their children, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Morris of Burlingame Ave.
In honor of the engagement of Miss Beth Rosalie. Weiner,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.- Alexander Weiner of Richton Ave., to
Albert Marven Margolin,- son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Margolin of
Buena Vista Ave., a reception will be held at the home of the
bride-elect, 2980 Richton, from 7 to 11, p. m. Sunday, June 30.

Miss Freida Frazer, a student at Michigan State College, is
spending her summer vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Frazer.
Mrs. Barney Newman of Tuxedo Ave. left June 24 for a month's
Stay in Tacoma, Wash., and Portland, Ore.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Minus of Burlingame Ave. entertained 20
guests at dinner at their home.
Rabbi and Mrs. Leonard Kasle and children are now making
their home in .Detroit.
Mrs. Abe Kasle was hostess at a luncheon on Monday in honor
of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leonard Kasle, who is now residing
ing Detroit. Mrs. Maurice Landau, a guest at the luncheon, just
having returned from a trip to Palestine, brought greetings from
the homeland and told of the marvelous spirit of the Jews.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bogrow of 1942 Gladstone celebrated
their silver anniversary on June 21. Their son, Harold, recently
discharged from the army after serving three year's, was present
as was their nephew, Capt. Harold Eisenberg, who came from
Los Angeles to attend the celebration. The Bogrows have an-
other son, T/5 Milton, who is still in Germany.
Miss Sue Berger of Chicago Blvd. has as her house guest Miss
Constance Lipchinsky of Miami Beach, Fla.

Mrs. Meyer Newman has as her guests her sister and brother-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Max Grossman of Mt. Vernon,• N. Y.

Mrs. Meyer Newman of W. Outer Dr. had as her guests Dr. and
Mrs. Sam Vogel and son, Jimmy, and her brother-in-law, Barney
Barlow of Buffalo, N. Y. Dr. Vogel attended a lecture course in Ann
- Arbor.
Dr. and Mrs. Morris H. Marks of 2245 Edison Ave. will have
open house on Wednesday, July .3, 8 to 11 p.m., in honor of their
25th wedding anniversary. No cards.
Miss Bernice H. Weisman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ,Leo Weis-
man of Buena Vista Ave., has returned home after .her graduation
on Saturday from the University of Michigan.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis -Berman•of Sorrento Ave. were hosts at an
open house in honor of their parents,. Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Gold-
stein of Taylor Ave., who are spending the summer as guests in
Los Angeles of their' children, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Tanenberg (Sylvia
Goldstein).
Mr. and Mrs. Julius B. Krause entertained at a buffet supper on
June 22, honoring their children, Dr. and Mrs. Gerald B.. -Krause,
upon their graduation from the University of Michigan. Mrs. Krause
• s the former Edith Frances Santer, daughter of Dr. and Mrs, Simon
Santer of Highland Park.
Mrs. Stanley R. Dudelson of Ohio Ave. entertained at a luncheon
on June 22, honoring the forthcoming marriage' of Mildred Million
to Cpl. Harold Weiss. Complimenting Miss Million, Mrs. Anna Weiss,
entertained at a bridal shower for 125 people on June 19.
Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Moss . of 18281 Pennington will entertain
family and friends at a reception on Friday. evening, July 12, at
Knollwood Country Club, honoring the marriage of their son, Mel-
vin, to Cbrinne Vv"-ollman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Woll-
man of Las- Vegas,- Nev. No cards. The wedding was performed May
12 at Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles. Upon their return from their
honeymoon, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Moss will reside - here with their
parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Poulin of 2516 Monterey Ave. celebrated
their 25th. wedding anniversary June 26. A dinner and reception
will be held Saturday, June 29, at the Wilshire Hotel. Out of town
guests will be: Mr. and Mrs. - I. Golberg, Mr. and Mrs. J. Poulin, Mr.
and Mrs. J. Goldberg, Mr. and Mrs. H. Goldberg, and Misses Nellie
and Shirley Leibowitz, all of Philadelphia.
Among those who attended the at-home in honor of the conse-
cration of Deborah R.. Frutkin were Mr. and Mrs. M. Rubin and
daughter, Dody, Mt. and Mrs. Max Friedman, Mr. and Mrs. Philmore
Dickson, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Friedman and son, Murray, all of
Canton, 0. and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Frutkin and sons of Alliance, 0.
Mrs. Max Schreiber and her • two small children are -leaving
this Friday for their home in New York after a few week's visit
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Rosenthal of Elmhurst Ave.

Message, Report on Zion

Mrs. Maurice Landau, who has
just returned from Palestine,
brought a message from the
Working Women's. Council of Pal-
estine to conference of the
Pioneer Women's Organization on
June 20.
Mrs. Landau told of her visit in
the Children's Home at Kfar
Saba. She urged that more
American Jews take an interest
in redemption work and that
more become investors as their
assets are needed for Palestine's
upbuilding.

man, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Selman of Ewald Circle, at a
candlelight ceremony at Park
Ave. Hotel, on June 2.
