shivah of Hebron, Rabbi Abra-
ham Shmuel Finkel, and a grand.
`ion of the founder of-the Slobod-
ka YeShivah, Rabbi Nos= Zvi
Finkel, he has followed the fam-
ily tradition and has become fa-
mous for his learning.
Rabbi.Finkel was known as the
"Slobodker Ilui"—the Slobodka
Talmudic genius. He has also ac-
quired a worldly education.
His brother now owns Finkel's
Restaurant -which is operated as
a strictly kosher restaurant on
Linwood and Taylor.

Shaarey Zedek YPS Holds
Installation Dance June 29

The Young People's Society of
Cong. Shaarey Zedek will have
an installation dance Saturday
evening, June •29,* in the social
hall of the synagogue. Music will
be by Jules Klein's orchestra.
RefreShments will be served.
Tickets- may be purchased from
members or at the door the night
of the dance.
New officers and board mem-
bers will be installed. .

the affair and her committee

NW Hebrew Men's Club
Holds Program Sunday

Men's _Club of the Northwest
Hebrew Congregation and Cen-
ter will be host to members,
friends and their children at 2:34
p. m. Sunday at a father-children's
program in the • auditorium of
Bagley School, Roselawn and
Curtis.
Sgt. Wayne Fernelius, ventrilo-
quist, who recently returned from
a USO tour of Europe, will be
featured with Jerry McSafety of
the police department.
Movies will be shown and re-
freshments served. Admission will
be free. Malcolm Rivkin is chair-
man. of the affair.

Fathers, Sons Dinner of
Yeshivah Ladies June 18

The Ladies of Yeshivath Beth
Yehudah will sponsor a Father
and Son dinner on June 18, 8:30
p.m., at the synagogue audito-
rium of the Yeshivah, Dexter at
Cortland. Mrs. Pearl Rottenberg,
president, announces that the
dinner is. not a fund-raising al--
fair and that there will be the
nominal fee of $3 for the father,
with sons—one or more--gaining
free admittance. All fathers will
have the opportunity to get ac-
quainted with the teachers. Res-
ervations are being taken at the
Yeshivah office, HO. 5605, and
must be in. by Sunday; June 16.

An August wedding is planned
for Helen Saralee Solomon and
Jerome M. Keywell, whose be-
trothal was announced this week.
The pair will exchange vows

Shaarey Zedek, with a reception
to follow the dinner.
The bride-elect is the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Solo-
mon. Miss Solomon has just
completed three years of study
at Wayne University. .
The bridegroom-elect is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry C.
Keywell who received his bach-
elor's degree in Political Science
and studied law at the Univer-
sity of Michigan before serving
four years with the Army Air
Forces, from which he recevied
his discharge last October.
