Mrs. Armin Hartman of Dexter Blvd. has returned from Flint,
where she spent a week visiting with her parents.
Mrs. Samuel Preston and her daughters, Barbara and Judy, of
Monterey Ave., are spending the holiday week with her brother-in-
law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Sheppard of St. Thomas, Ont.,
Mr. Preston joined them for the last week-end.
Miss Rita Papo is spending the vacation week in Chicago as
the guest of her brother-in-law and sister, Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Dach.
Mrs. Lester Alexander and her son and daughter of Toledo
spent the 'holiday week with Mr. Alexander's mother, Mrs. Joseph
Alexander, and his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
L. Phillips of Fairfield Ave. Mr. Alexander joined them for a few
days.
Miss Selma Gallow, who is studying costume designing in New
York City, spent a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isadore
Gallow of Calvert Ave.
Mrs. Norman Helpert of Elmhurst Ave. •has returned from
Tucson, Ariz., and Los Angeles, Calif., where she spent the winter.
S. 1/c Joseph Epel has returned to his post at Great Lakes
Naval Training Center after a few days' leave spent with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Epel of Pingree Ave.

Bernice, to Benjamin B. Hertz,
son of Mrs. Sadie Hertz of Wilde-
mere Ave. and the late Israel M.
Hertz.
The bridegroom-to-be was re-
cently discharged as Captain
after serving four and one half
years in the United States Army.
He served in the E.T.O. with In-
fantry Company of the 95th In-
fantry Division. Both are gradu-
ates of the University of Michigan.
