Prospects Assigned to Women
Workers for AJC Group Teas

At a meeting of supervisors,
area chairmen and secretaries of
the Women's Division of the Al-
lied Jewish Campaign, held Tues-
day morning in the USO Lounge
of the Jewish Community Cen-
ter, prospects were assigned to
workers who will bring them
to home meetings later in the
month.
Workers under Mrs. Samuel S.
Aaron, Mrs. John C. Hopp and
Mrs. Oscar Zemon, Chairmen, at-
tended the meetings as the Wo-
men's Division prepared for home
solicitation teas.
Mrs. Herman_ August and Mrs.
George Bremen are the super-
visors working with Mrs. Aaron.
Area chairmen in this division
are: Mesdames Ellis Fisher, Her-
man Prady, Tony Lebovitz, Lewis
Manning, Gerald Goldberg, Emil
Rothman, Julian Zemon, Arther
Weber, Morris Roth, Ted Davis
and S. Minash.
Secretaries in Mrs. Aaron's
Division are: Mesdames Jack
Behrmann", D. Feinberg, Aimee
Gaines, Edward Kahn, Mervin

All three groups of the Detroit
American Jewish Congress, the
Women's Division, the Business
and Professional Group and the
Detroit Section of the American
Jewish Congress, will hold their
annual dinner Wednesday, April
24, at 7 p. in., at Huyler's in the
Fisher Bldg.
Dr. Maurice L. Perlzweig of
London, eminent American and
World Jewish Congress leader,
will be guest speaker. His topic
will be "The Postwar Situation
of the Jews."

Elizabeth Penfil, chairman of
the Committee for Law and Legis- -
lation of the Detroit Section of
the American Jewish Congress,
was one of a group of Detroit del-
egates who atended the "Win the
Peace" conference in Washington
April 5 to 7. Mrs. Penfil will re-
port soon on the deliberations of
this conference.

$3,819,250 to Be Spent
on April Relief By JDC

Appropriations of $3,819,250 for
April by the Joint Distribution
Committee for the relief and re-
habilitation of Jewish survivors
overseas bring the agency's total
allocations so far this year to
more than $17,574,000, it is an-
