Appeals for JNF in Synagogues
A call has been issued by Mizrachi Organization of Detroit to all Detroit syn-
agogues to make proper appeals for the Geulath Sevivoth Jerusalem—the project of
the religious department of the JeWish National Fund to redeem land for Jewish
settlement between Hebron and Jerusalem.

been appointed to contact all presidents of synagogues to arrange for • appeals for the •
Jewish National Fund on Purim, Sunday morning, in order to meet the urgent re-

Mr. Schlussel emphasizes in his appeal that pledges for the National. Fund
should be made during Sabbath morning services and that those in attendance at ser-
vices on Sunday morning should be prepared to make liberal gifts to the cause.
He calls attention to the tradition of Shalach Monos—the giving of gifts 'on Purim—
and urges that the gifts be made to the Jewish National Fund.
Appended to Mr. Schlussel's statement is - the following list of synagogues in
which appeals will be made on Sunday morning and the volunteer workers who
