Space Wanted for Relief
Packing of Women's
Emergency Food Group
"We have lost our dwelling,
furniture, clothes, everything.
Please send us some food and
clothing."
This appeal from a woman in
Paris to the Women's Emergency
Food committee of Vaad Hatza-
lah got an immediate response
from Mrs. A. Weisberg and her
packers—a box of food and cloth-.
ing was started on its way direct
to the writer of the letter. It
was one of 100 parcels shipped
by the committee during the last
week to individual destitute Jew-
ish families overseas.
This busy group, of which Mrs.
Max J. Wohlgelernter is chair-
man, packs three days and eve-
nings weekly. Now having to
vacate the quarters they used for
this work, they have issued an
appeal for a store, basement or
club room in which 'they may
continue this vital work.
Anyone who has space avail-
able is requested to call Mrs.
Weisberg, TO. 8-4421, or Mrs. J.
Brindze, TO. 6-6800.
A food shower will be held at
the Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg., Ty-
ler and Lawton, the evening of
March 31. Admission will be by
donation of- dehydrated food.
There will be games and refresh-
ments. The public is invited.
