ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY
Mrs. William Goodman of the Wilshire Hotel has extended her
visit at Martinsville, Ind., until March 15.
Honoring the graduation - of their son, Felix, from the aero-
nautical engineering department of the University of Michigan,
Mr. and Mrs. Jose Winsen of the Book-Cadillac Hotel will hold open
house from 8 to 11 p. m. on Sunday at the home of their daughter,
Mrs. Joe Kukes, 18402 Wisconsin. Felix will make his home with
his parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Feinstein of 16255 Muirland are vacationing
in Miami Beach.
' Mr. and Mrs. David L. Tyner and son, Herbert, of Warrington
Drive have left for Florida where they will spend the remainder
of the winter.

Mrs. Seymour Owens and son, Paul, left by plane for Los
Angeles to join Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fineman at the Dracker Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rosenstein of South Bend, Ind., were guests
at Hotel Statler here while visiting the latter's mother, Mrs. L.
Siegel, and before leaving for Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Nelson of London Ave. have returned
home after a month's visit in Miami Beach and Biloxi, Miss. On
_their Nkray home they visited with relatives in Memphis, Tenn.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ellenstein and daughter, Barbara, motored
to Miami Beach, Fla. Miss Ellenstein is attending the University of
Miami at Coral Gables.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bier of New York are visiting their son-
in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Gliksman of Tyler Ave.
Miss Bernice H. Weisman, University of Michigan senior, is
spending her mid-term vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Leo Weisman of Beuna Vista Ave.
Mrs. Louis M. Dunn of Hazelwood Ave. left by plane for a
month's vacation in Hot Springs, Ark.
Mr. and Mrs. Aaron A. Silberblatt of 3311 Chicago Blvd. will
be at home on Sunday evening from 9. to 11 in honor of their
son and daughter-in-law, Lt. and Mrs. Jerome S. Silberblatt,
complimenting them on their recent marriage. No cards. Lt. Silber-
blatt has just returned from service in the India-China Theater,
where he has spent the last eight months. Mrs. Silberblatt, the
former Shirley Newman, recently of Louisville, Ky., is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Newman, former Detroiters. The newlyweds
expect to take up residence in New York City after March 15.
Mrs. Lillian Susman and children, Thelma and Howard, of
Greenlawn Ave., are now at 310 Montero, Balboa Beach,. Calif.
Mrs. S. H. Wolfe of the Belcrest hotel is visiting her children,
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard H. Wolfe in Denver, Colo. Mrs. Leonard
was formerly Sylvia B. Lenick of Saginaw.
Miss Shirley Gordon of Webb Ave. entertained in honor of
Miss Nucia Gervitz of Mexico City, with a farewell party at her
home last Sunday. After a three-month visit with her aunt and
uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Gombein of Glendale Ave., Miss Gervitz is
returning to her home and then will vacation at Acapulco.
Mrs. David Bussell and d'aughters, Lillian M. and Estelle, of
4518 Cortlansl have returned from New York where they attended
the wedding of Mildred L. Penn to Sidney Rosenwasser. They
also visited with relatives in Newark, - N. J.
