THOSE GREAT athletic broth-
ers and all around good fellows,
Herman and Mickey Fishman,
will have "A dream come •true"
when their new Camp Mich-
igama has its July opening up
north near West Branch . . .
Every letter to each other while
with the Navy overseas contain-
ed some mention of it . . . with
plans to reach for the moon .. .
Mickey would spend what little
time he had to draw maps . .
and Herm was thinking up ideas
for the greatest- boys camp in the
whole wide world.
Both Herman and Mickey are
among the top athletes in the
history of Northern High and
the University of Michigan . . .
When Herman says, "We'll make
ball players out of any kid, 6 to
16 years old," he knows what
he's talking about! Other than
being terrific basketball players,
they were among the leading
college baseball players in the
country . . with Herman also
flinging from the port side in the
Piedmont and International Lea-
gues • . . just a step from the
majors . . . and becoming assist-
ant to Bennie Oosterbaan, coach
at Michigan .. . Mickey led the
Western Conference in pitching
three years ago . . . Both have
gone to camp since they were
six years old . . . which means
that Camp Michigama is going
to benefit from a lot of actual'
experience.
