Dr. Glazer's Sermon

Dr. B. Benedict Glazer will
preach at the Sabbath Eve serv-
ices of Temple Beth El this Fri-
day, Feb. 1, on "What Can Per-
sonal Religion Do for Us Today?"
Liturgical music will be ren-
dered by the Temple quartet
under the direction of Jason H.
Tickton. A social hour under the
auspices of the Sisterhood will
follow the services.

Rabbi Pram to Speak
On 'National Health'
Next Friday Night

"Our National Health—Can It
Be Achieved by Legislature?"
will be the lecture by Rabbi Leon
Fram on Friday, Feb. 8, at 8:30,
in the Lecture Hall of the De-
troit Institute of Arts.
At this service, Bennett Sims,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Mark Sims, will celebrate his Bar
Mitzvah. The congregation will
be guests of the Sims at a recep-
tion in honor of their son.
On Jan. 23 Rabbi Fram 'deliv-
ered the commencement address
at the graduating exercises of
Central High on "A New World
for a New Generation."

Bnai David to Honor
Veterans This Friday

Services at the Friday night
gathering of Cong. Bnai David,
Elmhurst and Fourteenth, this
Friday evening will be dedicated
to returning servicemen and the
reception in their honor will be
held after the service.

at Central High School recently. Student President Jim Sherman
was chairman and the Rev. Joseph Q. Mayne, executive secretary
of the Detroit Round Table, introduceed the speakers on the
program. They were:

DR. SALO BARON

Baron, professor of history at
Columbia University, under the
auspices of the Men's Club of
Cong. Bnai Moshe, Tuesday even-
ing, Feb. 5, at 8:30, at the syna-
gogue, Dexter and Lawrence.

Dr. Baron is recognized as the
leading authority in the U. S.
on Jewish history, literature and
institutions. He is an interesting
and instructive speaker, with a
wealth of information and knowl-
edge at his command on the
subject of his address.

Dr. Baron will be introduced
by Rabbi Eliezer A. Levi.
