Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kraemer and daughter, Helene, of Krae-
..mer's Olympic Hotel, Mt. Clemens, Mich., are spending the winter
at the Tides Hotel, Miami Beach, Fla.
Miss Beebe Gottesman, whose • marriage to Sgt. Leonard W;
Moss, who has been honorably discharged, will take place on Dec.
2, was entertained on Oct. 20 at a luncheon and kitchen shower by
Mrs. Jack Braude at her home on Fullerton. Mrs. Harry Stein
entertained at- a luncheon and miscellaneous shower at the Book
Cadillac.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ullman of Cincinnati are spending the
Thanksgiving week-end with Mrs. Ullman's mother, Mrs. A. M.
Ermann of Merton Rd.
Mr, and Mrs. Sidney Fecheimer . of Monterey Ave. have as
their guests 'Mrs. Fecheimer's parents, Dr. and Mrs. Frank Sein-
sheimer of Cincinnati. -
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Soss of Hamilton Rd. have as their
guests Mrs. Soss' brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome
D. Schlang of New York City.
Mrs. - Samuel Lewin-Epstein of Jerusalem, Palestine, is the guest
of her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr, and Mrs7 A. M. Hersh-
man of Calvert Ave.
Dr. and Mrs. Samuel J. Levin of Canterbury Rd. have returned
from Mexico where they spent the last month.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Winkelman and their small daughter,
Margo, of Renfrew Rd., are spending a month in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Weinfeld of Columbus are spending the
holiday week-end as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Frank
of Wildemere Ave.
Dr. and Mrs. I. Irving Bittker of Atkinson Ave. returned on
Wednesday from a visit in New York City.
Mrs. Sidney Reibel of Huntington Woods left on Thursday for
Louisville, Ky., where she will attend the 25th wedding annivers-
ary of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur S. Kling.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Z. Brown have moved from East Boston
Blvd. and are now residing at 16910 LaSalle Blvd.
Miss Joan Freeman, who is attending the Julliard School of
Music in New York City, is spending the holiday week-end with
her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Michael Freeman of Wellsley Dr.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Moses II of Chicago are the guests of
Mrs. Moses' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sol A. Wolff of Lawrence Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. William Mazer of Birchcrest Dr. have as their
guests over the holiday week-end Mrs. Mazer's brother and sister-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lurie, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Roth and Mr.
and Mrs. Gus Bowman of Columbus.
Mrs. Julius Goldburg of New Rochelle, N. Y., is the guest of
her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey J. Kern 'of
Delaware Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Goldman of Whitmore Rd: have left
for St. Petersburg, Fla., where - they will spend the winter 'months.
Mrs. Henry Rosenblum, who has been spending a few weeks
with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Leon G. Winkelman of Fairfield.
Ave., left on Tuesday for Chicago where she will visit with mem-
bers of her family before returning to her home in Gladstone, Mich.
Mrs. William A. Stearns of Chicago Blvd. has returned from
Los Angeles, Calif., where she spent a few weeks visiting with
members of her family.
Mrs. Theodore Israel of Los Angeles, a former Detroiter, spent
a week as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Caplan of Boston.
Blvd., enroute to New York City where she will visit with mem-
bers of her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Meyer B. Applebaum of Chicago Blvd. are spend-
ing the winter months in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Louis Tobin of Webb Ave. left on Tuesday for New York
City where she will visit her daughter, Marcia, who is studying at
the Manhattan School of Music. She was accompanied by here
sister, Mrs. Morris Braude of Chicago, who has been visiting her
family in Detroit.
Morris Berger of Tel Aviv, Palestine, a former Detroiter, spent
a few days in the city visiting with friends enroute to San Francisco,
Calif., where he will spend some time before returning to Palestine.
Israel Levenson of Chicago Blvd. left this 'week for Miami
Beach, Fla., where he will spend the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Harris of Boston Blvd. have left for Los
Angeles, Calif., where they will spend the winter months.
En-sign Warren Shwayder, who is stationed at the Great Lakes
Naval Training Center, is spending the holiday week-end with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Shwayder of Fairfield Ave.
S/2/c Milford Pregerson is visiting Mrs. Pregerson and their
small daughter, Rhoda, in their home on Byron Ave.
M/Sgt. Richard Lazar is spending a 12-day furlough with Mrs.
Lazar and their small daughter, Diane, of Tuxedo Ave., before
returning to his post in Newark, N. J.
Capt. Woodrow Weiss, who returned from overseas duty with
the Medical Corps in August and is now stationed at Fort Sheridan,
Ill., spent a few days' leave as the guest of his brother and sister-
in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Edward Weiss of Buena Vista Ave.
Lt. Milton Marwil, who has been in service- over four years,
including two years in the ETO, has' received his discharge. With
Mrs. Marwil and their small daughter, Sarah, who accompanied
him from Philadelphia, he is at present at the home of his parents,

Reports Donor Progress

A hearty response to the call
for participation in Palestine's
land-redemption program is re-
ported by the Ladies' Auxiliary

MRS. JACK ROSENTHAL

of the Jewish National Fund,
whose donor event will culmin-
ate with' the annual gathering of
contributors at the Masonic_
Temple on the night of' Jan. 22.
'Mrs. Irving Shevin, president
of the JNF Auxiliary, expressed
confidence that more than 3,000
women will participate in the
donor event this year.
Mrs. Jack Rosenthal heads the
committees in charge of this
year's solicitations.

Jewish War Vets Hold
Military Ball Feb. 23

Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Simon
announce the engagement of their
daughter, Bernice, to M/Sgt. Ber-
nard Edward Linden, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Linden. M/Sgt.
Linden has just returned from
20 months in the ETO. Both Miss
Simon and her fiance are grad-
uates of_ Wayne University, where
Sgt. Linden was a member of Pi
Tau Sigma. Miss Simon is now
attending the Graduate School of
Social Work.
To honor the young couple Mr.
and Mrs. Simon will receive their
friends at their residence on
Santa Barbara Dr. on Sunday,
Dec. 2, from 8 to 10 p. m.

ment of her daughter, Helen
Ruth, to Lt. Irwin Reisler of the
U. S. Naval Reserve, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Reisler , of Chi-
cago, Ill. 'The bride-elect was
graduated from the University
of Chicago. Lt. Reisler, a grad-
uate of Marquette University,
has just returned from 21 months
service overseas. The marriage
will take place Sunday afternoon
at the Belcrest.

Next Tuesday evening, Pioneer
Women of Detroit will celebrate
the 20th anniversary of the
founding of this organization.
Detroit was among the first
cities in the U. S. to organize
Pioneer Women and now has
seven clubs who aid in supply-
ing the basic funds for Child
Rescue; a g r i c u l t u ral training
farms; children's institutions and
other activities in Palestine.
Honoring the 20th anniversary
of the oyganization, the Detroit
Clubs will proclaim the establish-
ment of a home as a special gift
to its sister Organization, the
Working Women's Council in
Palestine.
The program of the Annivers-
ary celebration at the Jewish
Center, will be highlighted by
Dr. Sara Feder, of Columbia,
Mo., former PWO national chair-
man, as principal speaker.
Bella Goldberg will render
musical selections, accompanied
by Rebecca Frohmati.
