next Tuesday.
Mrs. Henry Meyers, general

a. m., on the ballroom floor of
the Book Cadillac Hotel.
On Monday evening, prior to
the opening of the convention,

JNF Rallies Oct. 15
Mendel N. Fisher, executive
director of the Jewish National
Fund of America, will be a guest
of the Jewish National Fund
Council .of Detroit on Oct. 15,
it was announced this week by
William Hordes, president of the
JNF Council.
Mr. Fisher will be guest at a
luncheon that day, and in the
evening he will address a meet-
ing of Zionist leaders at the
Shaarey Zedek.
During his visit here he will
also address the annual paid-up
membership luncheon of the
Ladies' Auxiliary of the Jewish
National Fund.

Bnai Brith Maps
Gutstadt Dinner
To Close Institute
Final arrangements for the
city-wide Bnai Brith working
clinics, devised for the training
of Michigan members in better
community service, provide for
meetings Saturday night and
Sunday, Oct. 20 and 21, with a
dinner in honor of Richard A.
Gutstadt, national director of
Anti-Defamation League, closing
the institute, according to Samuel
W. Leib, chairman.
The sponsoring agency is the
Greater Detroit Bnai Brith Coun-
cil, of which David I. Rosin is
president.
Beginning with clinics on the
operation of lodges and women's
groups, for officers, on Oct. 20,
beginning at 8:30 p. in., and a re-
ception for all Detroit members
at 11 p. m. in the Book-Cadillac
Hotel, meetings will continue
Oct. 21 to • discuss work of mem-
bership, youth organization, post-
war, Americanism, anti-defama-
tion, Hillel, vocational service
and conservation.
Tickets for the dinner for Mr.
Gutstadt will b e available
through a subcommittee headed
by Lillian Aaron and Sam Maza.
