PALESTINE — Three hundred
and fifty Jews sailed to Pales-
tine last week from France and
Italy on the S. S. MARATOA
under the auspices of the Joint
Distribution Committee: J. D. C.
has also completed negotiations
to transport an additional 350
persons to Palestine late in Au-
gust. More than 50,000 Jews
have been brought to Palestine
from Europe by J. D. C. since
1933.

purchase and redemption of land
on the assumption that the
White Paper will be recinded in
the near future, Dr. Abraham
Granovsky, director of the Jew-
ish National Fund, declared'here.
Dr. Granovsky said that Ker-
en Kayemeth had declined to
cooperate with the Government
Inquiry Commission., investigat-
ing- alleged circumvention of the
land restrictions against Jews,
because • the intention of the
commission was to strengthen the
White Paper "which we unalter-
ably oppose." He spoke at a
