Marriages

SCHWARTZ-SELIGSON: At
an early evening ceremony at
the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue
on Sunday, June 17, Nettie Ceile
Seligson, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Seligson of Kentucky
Ave. became the bride , of Dr.
Albert A. Schwartz, son of . Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Schwartz of
Waverly Avenue. Dr. A. M.
Hershman and Cantor Jacob
H. Sonenklar performed the
ceremony.
The bride wore a traditional
gown of white satin, which was
simply fashioned with a fitted
bodice. The sweetheart neckline
and the sleeves of the gown had
a narrow lace trimming. She
carried a small satin handker-
chief which was trimmed with
the same lace as her gown. Her
fingertip veil of illusion fell
from a pearl, heart shaped
crown. She carried a white pray-
er book with white orchid from
which streamers of sweet peas
fell prettily.
Mrs. Louis Kazdan, sister of
the bride, matron of honor, was
gowned in a tourquoise crepe
gown.
The bridesmaids were Drora
Selesny, Molly Siegel and Billy
Schwartz, sister of the groom.
Best man was Bernard Rosen-
thal of Pittsburgh.
The bride's mother, Mrs. Sel-
igson, wore a gown of royal blue
with matching accessories and a
royal blue sequin hair adorn-
ment. The groom's mother, Mrs.
L. Schwartz, was dressed in an
aqua gown and wore gold acces-
sories with a gold sequin hair
ornament.
After . the ceremony a bouffet
dinner was served in the hall
below to 225 guests.
For traveling the bride, wore
a light grey Forstmann wool
suit with a matching hat. Her
white bldUSe was made of hand
embroidered organdy: Her ac-
cessories were black. She wore
a 'Vs.,hite orchid.. .
The bridal couple are spend-
ing their . honeynioon in Chicago.
Upon their return they will
make their home in Detroit.

Drive Continued
To Collect Music
For Camps, Ships

Mrs. Rose Biehl, composer
whose songs have been heard in
camps throughout the land and
overseas and over the radio, an-
riounces• the continuation of the
drive to collect sheet music for
shipment to army camps and for
use on Navy vessels.
Sheet music may be sent to
Mrs. Biehl at 1695 Blaine, and
those who desire to have pick-
ups made may write to her.
A special effort is being made
by Mrs. Biehl to send a large
supply of. music to Percy Jones
Hospital in Battle Creek.
Grinnell's and the J. L. Hudson
Co. are cooperating with Mrs.
Biehl in the drive which will
continue throughout the summer
and fall. • .. .• .
A special appeal is made to
local organizations to cooperate.
