The couple will re-
turn to Detroit, after
a brief honeymoon in
Chicago at the Ste-
yens Hotel.

Rabbi Leon Fram will be at Atlantic City, N. J., next week,
attending the convention of the Central Conference of American
Rabbis and the meeting of the Commission on Jewish Education.
To honor the recent marriage of their son, Jack, to Julia Smith
of New York City, Mr. and Mrs. Ike Winkler of 377 Eastlawn Ave.
will hold open house Sunday, June 24, from 2 to 5 p. m. The
wedding was solemnized in New York on June 10, at the Waldorf
Astoria Hotel. Jack was wounded in action and was recently dis-
charged after four years of service in the army.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marwil of LaSalle Blvd. have returned
from California where they visited their son and daughter-in-law,
Lt. Comm. and Mrs. Thomas Marwil, and their son-in-law, Capt.
Robert Morrison.
Richard Hartman, SK 3/c, who has been in active Naval ser-
vice the last two years, is spending a 30-day leave with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hartman of Chicago Blvd.
Mrs. I. Sackman Marks has left for New Orleans, La., to join
her husband, Lt. Marks, who has recently been freed from a Ger-
man Prison Camp, and is on a 60-day leave. Lt. and Mrs. Marks
are planning to spend several weeks in Monroe, La., with his fam-
ily, and will then come to Detroit to spend a few weeks with her
parents, Dr. and Mrs. Samuel J. Lewis of Whitmore Road.
Mrs. Martin 0. Oppenheim and her small daughter, Kay Diane,
have come from Gulfporte, Miss., where Cpl. Oppenheim is sta-
tioned, to spend the summer with Mrs. Oppenheim's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Levitt of the Indian Village Manor.
Mrs. Samuel Lieberman of Birchcrest Dr. left on Tuesday for
Waco, Tex., where she will attend the wedding of her nephew, Lt.
Gilford Fred, and Miss Arlene Damsky of Omaha, Neb.
