Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Wolf of Collingwood Ave. will celebrate
their 25th wedding anniversary on May 6. Open house, 2 to 5 p. m.

Miss Roslyn Weinbaum was honored by her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Daniel Weinbaum of 17505 Pennington, on her 16th birthday,
at a party at Latin Quarters.
Mrs. Samuel Raskin and Mrs. J. Elden; both of Rochester Ave.,
have returned from Maryland, where Mrs. Raskin visited her son,
Herbert, a medical student in the V-12 program at the University
of Maryland. Mrs. Elden visited her brother, Lt. Comm. Irving
Sandorf, at Annapolis.
Lt. and Mrs. Gerald R. hptekar and son, Bobby, are visiting
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Schkloven and Mr. and Mrs. A.
Aptekar. Lt. Aptekar will be home for a 10-day leave and then will
return to Ft. Warren, Wyo. Mrs. Aptekar will remain a while
before returning to their home in Cheyenne.
Vilma Lee Wasserman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Wasser-
man, 2724 Lawrence Ave., celebrated her 16th birthday on May 2,
with a luncheon at the Book Casino and an evening party at her
home.
Mr. and Mrs. David Iwrey of 2998 Burlingame have returned
from Little Rock, Ark., and Hot Springs where they visited their
son, Pvt. Sol Iwrey, who is stationed at Camp Robinson, Ark.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Simons have moved from Boston .Blvd.
and are /now residing at 19322 Strathcona Dr.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rosman of 2234 Boston Blvd. will have
open house Sunday evening, May 6 from 7 to 10 complimenting
their daughter, Gloria Rose, and her fiance, Meyer Ellis. No cards.
Mrs. Bertha Kaye of Byron Ave. and her • son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Blau will have open house on
Sunday evening, May 13, at the Blau residence at 18509 •enning-
ton Dr. complimenting Mrs. Kaye's son and daughter-in-law Capt.
and Mrs. Bernard Kaye who with their small daughter, Sharon,
plan to make their home in Detroit. Capt. Kaye recently has been
released from active duty in the U. S. Army after four years.
S 2/c Arthur James Rubiner has returned to his post at Great
Lakes following a week's leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Rubiner of Chicago Blvd.
Ensign John J. Rich, USNR, is spendino: a 15-day leave with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse S. Rich of Glynn Ct.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lieberman of Chicago Blvd. have
returned from a visit with their son, Lt. Morton Lieberman, USNR,
an instructor at the Naval Pre-Midshipman School at Princeton
University.
Lt. Max Garber. USNR, who recently returned from 19 months
overseas is spending a 20-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Garber of Humphrey Ave. Lt. Garber who -is a Radar
Navigator has completed 35 sorties, and has. been awarded the
Air Medal, three oak leaf clusters and the DFC.
Word has been received here that A/C L. James Lipton, son of
Mrs. Betty Lipton of Burlingame Ave., is producing a play at Kees-
ler Field, Miss. Before entering service A/C Lipton took the part
of the Lone Ranger's Nephew in the Lone Ranger program.
Pvt. Irving Cohen, of Camp Ellis, Ill., is spending a week with
his brother and sister-in-raw, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Collens of West
Philadelphia Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Grossman have moved from Cortland Ave.
and are residing at 18453 Muirland.
- Mr. and Mrs. David King have moved from Santa Rosa Dr. and
are residing at 825 Whitmore Rd.
Sgt. Paul Broder has returned to Fort Lewis, Wash. following
a short furlough with his family. Mrs. Broder and

son, Jeffrey of Whitmore Rd. returned with him and for the
present will make their home in Tacoma, Wash.
