Beach, Fla., to join her husband .for an indefinite stay.

from her recent ocay in Los Angeles, where she was entertained by

joined her mother for a few week's stay in Los Angeles, then
traveled on to Mexico City, Mexico.
Cpl. Herman Shapiro of Indiana Ave., has left for Pyate
AAFF, Pyate, Tex., after visiting here with his wife and children.
After spending a few days in New York City, Capt. ark' Mrs.
'Irving B. Shulak are visiting with frienLis in Detroit. They
will return to Bingham City. Utah, where Capt. Shulak is sta-
tioned at Bushnell General Hospital as assistant chief of neuropsy-
chiatric service.
Cpl. and Mrs. Eugene J. Epstein visited here with their par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Epstein of 19410 Warrington. Cpl.
Epstein returned on Monday to his post at Barksdale Field, La.,
• where he is stationed with the army air force. Mrs. Epstein, the
former Elsie Taylor, remained here to make her home in Detroit.
Mrs. David Curtis of Clairmount Avenue has returned from
,Dayton, Ohio, where she attended the funeral of her mother, Mrs.
Meyer Jenefsky, who passed away on Dec. 27.
Mrs. A. Ross of Roselawn Ave. returned from a visit with her
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gerald F. Ross, and her grandson, who are
making their home with Mrs. Ross' parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Fried-
berg, in Ambridge, Pa., while Pfc. Ross is stationed overseas.
Mr. and Mrs. David M.. Lieberwitz of 4215 Glendale will have
-open house Sunday, 7 to 11 p.m., in honor of their son, Byron, who
is home on furlough.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Levinson of 18087 Woodingham have
left for Washington, D. C., to attend President Roosevelt's inaug-
uration at the White House.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Nord and son, David, of Matawan, N. J.,
who spent two weeks with Mrs. Nord's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
S. Greenbaum of Webb avenue, left for their home on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney L. Alexander of 11534 Byron, will have
open house Sunday, Jan, 21, afternoon and evening, in honor of
Maj. and Mrs. Martin Alexander. Maj. Alexander has just returned
from 31 months overseas duty.
Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Sidder will be at home on Sunday. evening,
Jan. 21, at 3775 Fullerton, in honor of their son, Lt. Richard Sidder,
who has just returned from two years overseas duty. No cards.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Robinson of Chicago Blvd. have returned
from New York City where they visited their son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grier.
Mrs. David J. Levy of Boston Blvd. left Wednesday for New
York City where she will visit her sori and daughter-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. David J. Levy Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Gilbert of Arden Park have left to spend a
few weeks in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Farbsten and their daughter of Chicago are
spending 10 days with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Farbsten
of Burlington Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. Julian L. Zemon of Wildemere Ave. were hosts
to a group of friends at a dinner in their home last Saturday evening.
They will give a. similar affair this Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard N. Simons have moved from Woodston
Dr. and are now residing at 19005 Parkside.
Mr. and Mrs. James Stein of Northlawn Ave. have returned from
a visit in Chicago.
Mrs. Isaac Gilbert of Boston Blvd. has as her guest Mrs. Nettie
Goodale of Chicago.
Lt. and Mrs. Murray Kirschrnan of Baltimore. Md., are spending
a week as guests of Mrs. Kirschman's brother and sister-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Rubiner of Chicago Blvd.
Capt. and Mrs. Samuel Gingold have returned to Temple, Tex.,
where Capt. Gingold is stationed at Camp Hood, after a visit with
their mother, Mrs. Joseph H. Ehrlich of the Belcrest Hotel.
Mrs. Rose Lipson of Merton Rd. has - returned from a visit in
New York City and Boston.
Mr. and Mrs. Israel Davidson, their daughter, Mrs. Robert
Deutch, and her two children of Strathcona Dr. are spending the
winter in. Miami Beach.
Mrs. , Harry Rosman and her daughter, Gloria, of Boston Blvd.
left last Saturday for Los Angeles where they will visit Mrs.

San Francisco. Lt. Tittlebaum is

Thompson, outstanding woman
columnist and able lecturer, will
speak under its auspices at the
Masonic Temple on March: 13.
Mrs. Samuel B. Danto, presi-
dent of the Sisterhood, an-
nounces that Mrs, Arthur Hass
has been chosen chairman of the
committee on arrangements and
will be assisted by Mrs. H. J.
Millman and • Mrs. Morton
Snyder as co-chairmen of the
committee.
Miss Thompson will speak on
"These Crucial Tiines." An out-
standing journalist, her column
appears in the New York Post,
the Detroit News and 160 other
newspapers. Her travels through-
out the world, her many years'
residence in Germany and her
