Depicted in Seminary's Exhibit
NEW YORK.—An exhibit of
photographs of lithographs and
etchings representing 3,000 years
of synagogue history and archi-
tecture, will be shown daily,
Sunday through Thursday, at
the Jewish Theological Seminary
of America, 3080 Broadway,
New York, beginning Jan. 7, in
connection with the Synagogue
Series of "The Eternal Light"
programs.
'Among the photographs is
Touro Synagogue of Newport,
Rhode Island, built in 1759 and
considered one of the most beau-
tiful examples of Colonial archi-
tecture in America. This was
the synagogue to which George
Washington wrote his famous
