Mitzvah will read from the scroll
of the Torah and will recite the

on the subject "The Evolution of
Reform Judaism."

Shaarey Zedek social hall.
Rabbi Kirshblum will discuss
the present status of Palestine
and its capacity to absorb the
remnant of European Jewry.
A feature of the celebration
will be the induction of 10 local
synagogues into Mizrachi.
Dr. Oscar Wolfsberg of the
Vaad Leumi, who came to the
United States from Palestine to
attend the World Jewish Con-
gress, inspired an audience at
Congregation Bnai Moshe on
Jan. 1, with his vivid account
of the accomplishments of the
Yishuv, its contribution to the
war effort and the plans that
Palestine Jewry has for the
future.

Rabbi Cohen's topic will be
"Kaddish-1945".
Cantor J. H. Sonenklar will
lead the singing of traditional
Sabbath melodies. Refreshments
will be served by the Sister-
hood after the program.
The public is invited to par-
ticipate and to hear nationally
known speakers.
Dr. A. M. Hershman will
preach the sermon at the Sab-
bath morning service at 9 a.m.

Northwest Hebrew Congrega-

Auxiliary meeting prior to this
gathering.

of, Wayne University and super-
intendent of Detroit Public
Schools, will be the guest speaker
at an open meeting of the newly
formed Parents' Organization of
Yeshivah Beth Yehudah Day
School at the auditorium, Dexter
and Cortland, next Tuesday, at
8:30 p.m.
After having visited Yeshivath
Beth Yehudah last Wednesday,
Dr. Bow will give his impressions
of the classes and talk on "Our
Schools in the Emergency."
Mrs. Meyer Weisenfeld, of the
parents' group will preside, and
a display of pupils' work will be
shown. The public is invited.
Beginning with the new school
semester, Jan. 29, the school will
add the third and fourth years of
elementary schools to its present
curriculum and a new 1B grade.
Organized last September, the
Day School has made marked
progress and its student body
now includes 100 boys and girls
in the Kindergarten and first
two years.
