LUBLIN (JPS) — More than 500,000 Jews, of Poland's

Rules Announced
Under Local Board Memo-
randum No. 192, issued Aug.
23, the following policy was
set up for induction during
holidays:
Jewish men ordered to be
inducted, or to submit to a
physical examination, on a
holyday, must make applica-
tion directly to their local
board. The local board will
then set another . day for
physical examination or in-
duction.

plans having been completed at
a special meeting of local rabbis
and synagogue presidents.
Pointing out that Vaad Hahat-
zalah, working in cooperation
with government agencies, has
succeeded in saving thousands of
lives, the local committee de-
clared that additional funds are
necessary because of the new
demands upon the Vaad and the
need for sending additional food
parcels to those who can be
reached.
A confidential report heard at
a meeting held Sept. 6, at the
Jewish Community Center, re-
vealed the immense possibilities
for more extensive rescue work
that present themselves at this
