Mrs. Philip Marcuse and her son, Philip, of Glynn Ct. have
returned from Charlevoix where they were the guests of Mrs.
Marcuse's mother, Mrs. Isaac Gilbert.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Enggass of Cumberland Way have in-
vited a group of friends to a dinner. this Friday evening at the
Franklin Hills Country Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoke Levin, who are spending the summer at
their home in Brighton, Mich., haN4e returned from a few days in
Charlevoix.
Miss Betty Kahn of Lincolnshire Rd. has returned from Mexico
where she was attending the summer session at the University.
Mrs. Henry Soss of Bloomfield Hills has returned from a week
in New York City.
- Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lewis of Birmingham returned on Tues-
day from Charlevoix where they visited Mrs. Lewis' parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Leo Butzel.
Mr. and Mrs. William H. Frank and their son, Billy, spent
the last week-end as the guests of Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Smith at
their home in Goderich, Ont.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. Michelson of Warrington Rd. have
returned from a stay in Charlevoix.
Miss Selma Sampliner of the Chatham Apt. has left for Los
Angeles, Calif., where she will spend a month.
Mrs. Harold Barker and her daughter, Joan ; have returned to
their home in East Chicago after a visit with Mrs. Barker's mother,
Mrs. David Oppenheim of Chicago Blvd.
'Mrs. Lewis Ruskin has returned to her home in Chicago after
a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ginsburg of Chicago
Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Goldman of Canterbury Rd. have returned
from a visit in Charlevoix.
Miss Clarice Freud of Whitmore Rd. is visiting friends in Lex-
ington.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Godsol of Muirland Ave. were hosts to a
group of their friends at a dinner at the Franklin Hills Country
Club on Aug. 23.
Mr. and Mrs. Nate Schlafer of the Lee Plaza Apt. have returned
from a stay in Charlevoix.
Miss Anna Rose Hersh of Webb Ave. is expected home this
week-end from a fortnight in Algunquin, Me.
Mrs. Ben Wolfe of Grand Rapids is visiting her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burak of Longfellow Ave., and her
daughter, Mrs. Louis KrauSs of Webb Ave.
Mrs. Stanley Winkelman (Peggy Wallace) of *Canterbury Rd.
returned on Monday from Gladstone. Mich., where she visited En-
sign Winkelman's gradmother, Mrs. ,Henry Rosenblum. She was ac-
companied home by Miss June Rosenblum who will spend a week
with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Leon G. Winkel-
man.
Mrs. Louis Fried of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., was the guest of her
family in Detroit last week. Mrs. Fried, the former Miss Rose
Greenwald, who was secretary of the Jewish National Fund Council
of Detroit for eight years before her marriage, was honored by
her former associates in the Jewish National Fund, the Zionist
Organization and Hadassah during her visit here.
Mrs. Harry Davis and daughter, Dorothy, of 3790 Sturtevant
Ave., will return this week from a three-week visit in Naraganset
and Providence, R. I.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Aller and son, Michael Craig, formerly
of Wisconsin.Ave., are now residing in their new home on Oakman
Blvd.
Mrs. Joseph Camden of Gladstone Ave. has returned from a
10-day sojourn in New York City.
Samuel B. Ghinasin of Los Angeles is visiting with his sister,
