Funeral services for BESSIE
WINKELMAN OSTROW, 47, of
177 S. Vista St., Los Angeles,
Calif., formerly of Detroit, were
held on June 22 at Beth Olam
Cemetery, Hollywood, Calif. She
is survived by her husband,
Henry Ostrow; two daughters,
Mrs. Milford Greenstone and
Marjorie Ostrow; three sons,
Leonard, William and Seymour,
all of Los Angeles.

services at Ira Kaufman Funeral

Cemetery. She was the widow
of Jacob Garfield. Her survivors
are two sons, Samuel of Clare,
Mich., and David, and two
daughters, Mrs. Sarah Massey
and Mrs. Sidney Langer.

Clairmount died June 27 at the
age of 58. Rabbi Isaac Stollman
officiated at funeral services.
Burial was in Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Surviving are his
wife, Bessie; three sons, Louis,

paratrooper and a sailor, both
with Presidential Citations for

Guadalcanal • . . We asked the
Marine what he thought of all
these rallies and he - replied,
"They're sure swell. It shows
that the people are in there
pitching. But I can't see why
rallies should be necessary. Imag-
ine having to coax people to buy
bonds when they know darned
well how much it helps us guys.
The funny part of it is that it
doesn't cost them a cent—in fact,
they even get paid for doing it!"
